Causes: Animals, Wildlife Preservation & Protection
Mission: Wildlife rehabilitation including training and education.
Programs: Education about wildlife, rehabilitation and habitat stewardship: an estimated 980 poeple were reached through 15 programs, events or booths, often using a combination of our wild education animals to assist in the education message. Numerous hits on our website as indicated by the number of volunteers who found us through that resource. Wildlife assistance skills training: trained several volunteers to care for iwc education animals ; networked with other licensed wildlife rehabilitators on improving care of injured or orphaned wildlife.
wildlife rehabilitation; we handled calls for approximately 500 wild animals of 18 species. Iwc received 87 of those animals for rearing or rehabilitation:the balance either networked out to other rehabilitators or did not need rescued.
