Mission: The iowa agriculture water alliance (iawa) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to increasing the pace and scale of farmer-led efforts to improve water quality. Iawa focuses on science-based practices proven to have quantifiable water quality benefits. Iawa was founded by the iowa corn growers association, iowa soybean association and iowa pork producers association.
Programs: Conservation & environmental management: iawa is scaling up the adoption of conservation practices, conservation planning, and watershed planning to improve water quality and further efforts to implement the iowa nutrient reduction strategy which has a goal of reducing the nitrogen and phosphorous loading in iowa's waterways by 45%.
