InvestigateWest does hard-hitting, important journalism on a modest budget. I'm not aware of another journalism non-profit that's accomplished more with less resources. Newsrooms have been shrinking for years, and will likely continue to shrink, but journalism is critically necessary to a healthy democracy. Independent non-profits like InvestigateWest play an increasingly central role in keeping the public informed and engaged.
