Nonprofit Overview
Mission: To support the development of the profession of sustainability and the professionals that work in this field primarily through the facilitiation of professional networks, the creation and maintenance of professional materials and resources, and the education and training of members in the profession.
Programs: Provide education and professional development opportunities for sustainability professionals. In fy2014, we:a) held 10 month-long training courses for 234 registrants. B) held 20 professional development webinars with an average of 65 attendees per webinar.
provide networking opportunities for sustainability professionals though local chapters, member webinars and conferences. In fy2014:a) the colorado chapter was formed and held two meetings in denver. Other local chapter meetings were held in jakarta, seattle, washington dc, toronto, portland, and florida. B) held twelve virtual, new member webinars and an asian chapter meeting. C) planned and prepared for conference 2014 which was held in november 2014 in denver.
create, store, and disseminate information relevant to the sustainability profession. In fy2014, we:a) produced 12 monthly newsletters serving an average of 9,800 readers with articles on a variety of sustainability topics. B) added sections to our website on products and services of interest to sustainability professionals. C) continued work on sustainability professional body of knowledge.
