Mission: The mission of ism is to educate all children toward becoming conscientious, compassionate, and responsible citizens of the world.
Programs: Ism operates as a public charter school which provides education to students in grades k-8. Ism's emphasis on "conscientious, compassionate, and responsible citizens of the world" aligns with the united nations declaration of human rights and its values of "promotion of universal respect" and "development of friendly relations" between all people. Beyond instilling international mindedness in its own students, ism works to inspire all children and the broader community by promoting awareness of other countries, languages, and cultures in highly active and visible ways. Ism is accredited by the western association of schools and colleges (wasc) and the council of international schools. Ism is also an authorized ib world school offering the primary years and middle years programmes of the international baccalaureate (ib).
