Mission: Started in 1990 by adoptive parents Bob and Carol Mardock, International Family Services has helped roughly 1500 foreign children find homes in the United States (through April 2000). International Family Services is home to Friends Adoptions International, a state-licensed adoption agency in Friendswood (Houston), TX that provides full service adoption and foster care services.
Aside from adoption services, IFS also has a staff devoted to organizing and delivering humanitarian aid and social support to orphans and abandoned children worldwide.
Our central purposes are, 1) to help children who need families, 2) to help families through the adoption or foster care processes, and 3) to leave a legacy of aid for children in countries and institutions where we work who may never find a family.
