Mission: Job referral for the union membership. Its officers are union spokesmen for all collectively bargained contracts and agreements of the union membership which primarily performs work throughout designated counties in central and western illinois.
Programs: Local 34 primarily provides representation for 1030 active members. 11 contracts are negotiated or maintained throughout the year.
3 apprenticeship programs, with over 144 apprentices in total, are administered in partnership with central illinois national electrical contractors association.
qualified non-union electricians are tested and organized into our local, at the general rate of 5-10 per year.
