Mission: The mission of the institute for sports medicine research (ismr) is to focus the public's attention, as well as the medical and scientific community's attention, on advances in sports medicine research and clinical practice and treatment that will maintain and restore muscular skeletal function.
Programs: The research program supported through the institute for sports medicine research (ismr) accomplished its program goal, for the 2014 year, of identifying short and long term program goals and milestones regarding developing and funding research projects and timelines for expanding its research program under identified themes to support the mission of the institute for sports medicine research, which is to finance and execute original research projects developed by members of the orthopaedic sports medicine community. The areas of our research focus includes injuries of the shoulder, knee, elbow and hip. The goal of the research is to advance the ability of physicians world wide to care for injured athletes and the general population.
