Causes: Education, Higher Education
Mission: Our mission is to strengthen helping professionals - healthcare professionals, social workers, clergy/chaplains, first responders, educators, workers in eldercare and child welfare - as well as family caregivers. We believe that those who serve others either at work or at home are leaders upon whose strength we depend. Chronic stress, over-utilization, under-recognition and unrealistic work pressures among helping professionals and family caregivers are leading to unprecedented levels of compassion fatigue, burnout and stress-related illnesses. These conditions directly impact the ability of helping professionals and family caregivers to effectively and successfully perform their work. Through our programs and offerings, we are having a positive impact on our target audiences by enabling them to build resilience, strengthen their belief in the profession or calling and help them become their best to give their best.
Programs: 2017 was a productive year offering highest quality programs that both train and sustain professional caregivers as well as family caregivers. Curriculum for foundations of thriving from within(r) was completed for levels i, ii and iii. A book is being written to enable ilc to scale programs for on-line participation. We continue to build bridges of collaboration in the community and beyond.
