I adopted my cat, Luna, from PETCO in the Bronx and I am in love with her. It was the best Thanksgiving present to myself. I plan on adopting a brother or sister for her in the very near future. ❤️❤️❤️

The care and attention to detail that the president Bill Diveny and vice president Delilah Cotto give to the work involved in rescuing cats and dogs from all over is impressive . I have done this work before and it can be daunting overwhelming and non stop. They deal with all of that and more seamlessly and with great care. The purchase of dogs and cats from breeders has become problematic for to many reasons to go into here. Adopting cats and dogs that need our help is INKYBLUES mission and purpose, very few do it better. Go see what they have available at PETCO on 52nd street and second ave and have a moment with a beautiful fur baby. Also if you just want to foster they can make that happen also
I recently adopted two sweet, bonded kittens from Inky Blue Animal Rescue, and I couldn’t be happier with the entire experience. From start to finish, it was clear that the team at Inky Blue Animal Rescue (IBAR) is dedicated to the well-being of the animals they care for.
The kittens were a gift for my 8-year-old daughter, who has been a cat lover since birth. I had been struggling to connect with other rescues and cat cafes, often feeling frustrated and discouraged, until I met Delila, the co-founder of IBAR. She completely changed our experience. We spoke on the phone for over an hour, and she made me feel understood and supported right away. Over the course of two months, we stayed in close communication as she helped me find the perfect kittens for our family. Her dedication, patience, and willingness to work through every detail truly made all the difference.
The Inky Blue volunteers at the Petco were also wonderful—friendly and clearly passionate about the animals. They made meeting the kittens and learning about their personalities such a positive experience.
As for the kittens, they are healthy, happy, and thriving in their new home. It’s clear they received excellent care at Inky Blue Animal Rescue, and I’m incredibly grateful for everything Delila and her team did to make this adoption possible. These kittens were meant to be part of our family, and I can’t thank Inky Blue Animal Rescue enough for bringing them into our lives!

I have been a foster for this Organization since 2010. I really enjoy taking care of dogs or cats That needs some special t l c before they're placed in permanent homes. I most recently fostered A small gray mama Kat and her 32 week old kittens. They were absolutely precious i've attached a picture. I highly encourage people to foster for organizations like this. You are really doing an important service as a volunteer in this fashion.

Christine has a beautiful temperament that dogs of this breed naturally possess , She's not the vicious stereotype that mankind has branded, and trained so many countless others to be for their own selfish purposes, So happy with the outcome!
This organization appreciates and respects their volunteers. They depend on us to be leaders, to use sound judgment , to follow protocol, and ultimately to be accountable for our actions to see our duties through. I have been volunteering in their adoption center in Chelsea, in NYC. Caring for the cats there is nice, and the help I provide there is necessary., and never taken for granted. I feel needed. I don't ever feel micro-managed. Showing up on time, and not calling out at the last minute before my weekly shift is the hardest part of this volunteer opportunity, and what anyone who offers their time should expect to do. If you are are responsible person, you will enjoy the entire volunteer experience here.

Me and my brother adopted two kittens named Gwen and Paisley from Marina at PETCO iin Riverdale, (237th and Broadway) in NYC. Marina was a straight-forward, sincere adoptions counselor. Especially important to us, since we were making a first time cat adoption. We couldn't have had a more pleasant experience, and we are in love with our girls.

I was looking everywhere for a cat that would be a rescue and hypoallergenic. I saw George (then named Lucas) on the Inky Blue web site and he looked just like a Russian Blue but I didn't realize he was really half siamese - also a hypoallergenic breed. I went to see him and knew he was THE ONE. William was so enthusiastic about the cats and helped make the process easy. He set us up with food, a carrier and litter box and toys right on the spot since we were at a kennel connected to Petco.

Inky Blue is the rescue that made my dream of having a cat come true. It took me many attempts and rejections from other rescues and finally I came across these very cute black kittens at the Bronx Petco. I always had a soft spot for black cats. The manager of Inky Blue, Marina, was extremely helpful and gave me a lot of advise and links to useful products for kittens, especially since these are my first pets ever. I can tell that she really cares about each cat and she meets potential adopters in person and by talking to them she determines a good fit. She also kept in touch with me after adoption and gave even more useful advice. I am really happy that Onyx and Twix became my new family members - they are really adorable and funny and of course crazy like all kittens:) Thank you very much Marina and Inky Blue for giving me this wonderful opportunity!
They really take good care of the cats they rescue. The process was simple and easy I’m glad me and my girlfriend adopted one of the cats they rescued.
08/30/2020 My Mandela was a rescue and had been fostered by Inky Blue, they had him for 5 months before I adopted him. They brought Mandela back from the jaws of death with much needed medical help at their own expense. Now I have a wonderful companion, thank you Inky Blue for bringing him to me. My gratitude extended into becoming a volunteer caring for the kitties.

I adopted a kitten named Silvester. Marina was so courteous and knowledgeable regarding cat health and care. He was the cutest thing ever, im so happy I got a chance to meet Marina and adopt from her. I would recommend Inky Blue a million times over!
Our experience was excellent! The adoption process was quick and Marina was especially very helpful. We received all the information needed including medical papers, basic info on how to care for a cat (helpful for a newbie like me) etc. We're very happy to have our cute little baby Jack! I loved my new cat from the moment we met, and she felt at home within half an hour of hopping out of her carrier: nosing around, popping in and out from under furniture, and helping herself to a snack. By the end of the day, we had totally bonded and she was a glutton for affection, giving me headbutts and weaving between my legs as we went from room to room together. She is super healthy and well-adjusted, and showed up right from the vet with her latest vaccination records. This is everything I could hope for from a companion adoption service. A+

My experience was great! The help I got to see what was best for my kitten was so appreciated. She was so nice to me with everything and helped me adopt my kitten that I love so much. Really appreciated the fact that the cats were able to wander and play inside the room with the glass door. They are not cooped up in a cage 24/7.
My teenage daughter volunteers here and my 20 year old son had a self-directed internship with this organization and I am pleased with the affect it has had on both of then. I have known the owner of Inky Blue Sea Animal Rescue, Will Divney, for over 15 years. Will is an honest, hardworking and devoted friend to people and certainly animals. I'm a Board member of this grassroots cat and dog rescue non-profit group. We have placed many a homeless kitten/cat/puppy/dog with grateful and loving persons/families. With many of the rescued animals coming from Puerto Rico, we have placed beautiful little critters from the New York City area as well.
I started volunteering here since October 2016 and became an intern during summer of 2017. I can honestly say that this animal rescue cares so much about it's animals and it is shown through the way the animals are taken care of. I love volunteering here because everyone, (especially the Executive Director: Will) is so passionate about finding good and forever homes for the cats. They are clean, healthy, and up-to-date with their vaccinations. Most of them are very friendly while the others are adorably shy; it's so refreshing to see how different their personalities are. Love this place so much!

I have been a volunteer at Inky Blue Animal Rescue for about 3 months now since August 2017, this is a great place that really cares about animals specifically cats. The cats are well taken care of, all with their shots up to date. Every time I walk in to volunteer, the cats look healthy,safe, and even seem really playful. I really enjoy coming in to see the cats.The manager Will is great, and shows that he really loves the cats by taking care of them. I have not really seen another person who is a devoted to helping animals like Will.
All the cats are friendly, although some may be shy, with time they'll open up to you! They are taken care of and made sure they get the proper treatment they need before being adopted.
i am rather impressed by the many hats the Executive Director wears. i had the pleasure of working with him and his intern for the month of October into early November and plan on returning over Xmas break. Taking photos of their adoptable fur babes was a big enough task to handle in and of itself, and so I must be too artsy for my own good at times. I dont know where he gets so much energy to have his hands in so many places. I'm def. inspired and happy to have helped a few dogs and cats get some exposure with my amateur photography

On July 11, 2013 I adopted a wonderful dilute calico cat who I named Delilah...she is such an angelic and affectionate cat...she will be 9 years old. She's great in every way and she gets along beautifully with our other cats...she loves everyone who enters our home and has brightened my life!!! William Divney is a fantastic and caring human being. He thought Delilah was the perfect cat for my household and he proved right..I would highly recommend his organization to my friends. What William Divney does in Puerto Rico is such a rewarding and giving thing to do!! It takes a unique person with a heart of gold to do this type of work.

I volunteer at Inky Blue with my class of adults with autism. We were fortunate enough to have been given an opportunity...it's not easy to find worksites for adults with disabilities. William was so helpful and understanding. We have been volunteering there for a year, and my students have learned new and long lasting vocational skills. For many of my students, getting a job working with animals is a dream. With their new skills, a job with animals can very well become a reality. Inky Blue is a wonderful organization that does wonderful things. I hope they are around a long time!
Inky Blue Rescue is a wonderful organization. I found them at Petsmart in East Harlem. I was in Petsmart buying supplies for my fish tank. I always stop to look at the cats. A lovely young volunteer spoke to me about one of the cats, how sweet & lovely he was. She told me about the rescue group & how they bring the cats in from Puerto Rico. It's a beautiful thing that Inky Blue is doing. Within a day, this cat was in my home. He has brought me tremendous joy & happiness. The staff is highly professional. All questions are promptly answered. They are very experienced when dealing with any issues regarding the animals. Everyone I've told about Inky Blue has commented on the noble cause they are doing. My only wish is that this facility would be more recognized & visible.
My husband and I adopted our beautiful kitten from this organization. We couldn't be happier. They were so helpful and answered all of our questions even after we adopted our sweety. They really care about putting their animals in good homes, not just any home. When we adopt our next cat, we for sure will get him/her from Inky Blue. We have an amazing companion. She snuggles us all day and every day.
I adopted a young cat after fostering her for a couple months. I appreciate the organization's flexibility when it came to fostering as I was not sure I was ready to adopt. I am happy I did adopt though, as my kitty is healthy, beautiful and spunky! If you are looking to adopt from a small organization, Inky Blue is the way to go; they are compassionate and have truly special animals. Love the fact that my kitten was rescued from Puerto Rico!

I really have wonderful time here! All the cats are taken care of so well. They got chances to come out of cages all the time. This made them very outgoing and friendly to human. I think that's one of many reasons why we adopt out so many cats. Everyone loves happy friendly cats!
Almost two years ago I decided to take the plunge and adopt a cat. I had been shopping around for good adoption agencies and settled on Inky Blue. A friend of mine highly recommended them. I was struck by their central mission to rescue cats and dogs from Puerto Rico, a place where the stray animal population is extremely high. I was blessed to meet an adorable and sweet little black kitten named Moca. She is my best friend and now has a new cat sister Sally that she adores. Moca is the most affectionate and sweet cat I've ever known and many others have said the same. She has her own unique personality and is the best cuddler. The folks at Inky Blue were very helpful in getting everything set up for me including vet recommendations, etc. they are a wonderful bunch of people. So great in fact that I volunteered with them for a year and had a splendid time with all the sweet animals. I can't recommend this organization highly enough. They have a wonderful staff/volunteers, a very genuine and relevant mission and the sweetest animals around for adoption. Doesn't get much better than that:)
Phyllis Burnett Review: I started volunteering with Inky Blue in December 2012 after my cat Whiskers died. It has been a wonderful experience for me. When I started volunteering I noticed a grey and white cat named Dusty that seemed really sad in his cage. Customers in Petsmart would comment on how sad he looked. Upon holding Dusty for the first time he nuzzled in my neck and sucked on my finger. It was love at first sight, but I hesitated about getting another cat. Months went by as Dusty grew and kittens came and went to new homes, but Dusty remained. In May of 2013 I finally decided to adopt Dusty into my family. He is thriving in his new home. His new name is Taz, but I call him Tazalicious because he is so sweet and cute. He has an older brother Lucky who is 5 years old and a sister, Bella that is 1 year old.
I still volunteer with Inky Blue whenever I can given that my work schedule has become busy. It makes my day to see the kittens that I help feed and socialize find a home.
Faced with the daunting task of fostering a sick kitten, I received invaluable support from my fellow volunteers at Inky Blue who provided not only useful information, but constant support and resources that I found extremely helpful while on my journey as a foster parent to a (now) healthy and happy kitten! It was great to be able to come and check in whenever I had a question or needed something-I never felt alone, and it was so great to know that although I was the foster parent, there were tons of people who cared about my kitten's well being too. This experience was so much fun, I really would like to be a part of any fostering projects in the future-and I have no doubt that the Inky Blue team would come through with their amazing efforts to provide the best environment possible for both the foster parent(s) involved and the adorable animals in their care.
I have been interning for Inky Blue for a while now and it has been a great experience since i would want to be in the Animal world myself . I recommend this to everyone it is a joy working with these cats and the co founder is a wonderful guy .
Working with this organization was great! The Head of Inky Blue Sea is fun yet prepared, knowledgeable and oozes animal-love. The organization has great outreach and supportive sponsors (can always use more) that fully believe in this cause as he does. Also, the head of the organization has gotten fantastic volunteers to help him in his endeavors. All in all, the events I have worked were great!
