The winners of the 2017 Organic World Congress Innovation Awards (OFIA) were announced on 10 November 2017, at an awards ceremony during the Organic World Congress (OWC) in New Delhi, India.

The OFIA Grand Prize ($10,000 US) was awarded to Mike Hands, the Founder and Director of the Inga Foundation for Inga Alley Cropping--an alternative to rainforest slash-and-burn that regenerates land, reduces carbon, and provides sustainable food security which can be scaled to the entire tropics.
Hands was selected as a SOLVER at MIT in June, 2017 for carbon reduction (1 of 6 in the world competition) SOLVER
