Mission: The new world youth orchestra's mission is to develop the musical talent and nurture the personal growth of young people in indianapolis and central indiana through the rehearsal and performance of orchestral masterworks, both traditional and contemporary.
Programs: The exempt purpose mission is accomplished through nine months of weekly rehearsals and a weekend retreat for three youths orchestras consisting of approximately 200+ young musicians. Presented seven public performances and an additional private performance of orchestra music by three youth orchestras at four venues in central indiana to an audience. Held a young artist competition through which orchestral soloists were selected through juried audition of competitors.
