Mission: Indiana organ procurement organization d. B. A. Indiana donor network is a nonprofit healthcare service provider operating by designation under section 371 of the u. S. Public health services act and qualifies as an organ procurement organization as defined by the national organ transplant act. Our mission supports the donation of life-saving organs and tissues from medically suitable patients in indiana hospitals. Indiana donor network provides donation services to hospitals located in 85 of indiana's 92 counties. We cooperate with these hospitals by providing a variety of services including, education about federal and accrediting body requirements to support donation within the hospital, training hospital nursing, physician, chaplain and/or social work staff about the clinical and human aspects of the donation process, and helping the hospital support donation within their communities.
