Causes: Centers to Support the Independence of Specific Populations, Human Services
Mission: To meet the socioeconomic needs of milwaukees older native americans by providing culturally specific social, medical, nutritional and recreational activities.
Programs: In 2017 we provided services to 167 unduplicated members, a decrease of two members from 2016. Of the 167 members: 56% were with incomes below poverty level; 28% lived alone; 65% were american indian, 25% white, 6% african american, and 4% hispanic. All together we provided 14,859 units of service (meals, transportation, outreach, nutrition education, exercise, socialization, recreation, and health screenings). This was 1,914 more services than the previous year.
