Causes: Health, Home Health Care
Mission: Independent home care is a licensed home health care agency dedicated to providing a full range of home care and related services for individuals of all ages. Our vision is a barrier-free community with a broad array of support, enabling people to live with dignity in the home of their choice.
Programs: Independent home care's largest program provides consumer directed personal assistance services in cooperation with the local departments of social services in orange, ulster, sullivan and dutchess counties. This program provides a unique alternative to traditional attendant care, giving individuals being served the opportunity to take control over the personal care services they receive - deciding how, when and by whom those services are provided. In 2014 independent home care provided services to 6 individuals.
