In January 2014, I contacted the Imperial Valley Desert Museum Society to request volunteers to assist with a large-scale local bicycle event called the Stagecoach Century. In it's 10th year, Stagecoach has gained a national level of interest among avid distance bicyclists. The route follows along the real Overland Stagecoach Route of 1849, with several historical markers along the way. One of the huge draws for this ride is that there are only 2 stop signs, and no stop lights, on the entire 100 mile course.

From my first contact with Neal Hitch, I knew this organization was special. After a series of contacts and face-to-face meetings, Neal and his incredible group of Museum Volunteers supported 500 bicycle riders on the 100 mile route. They professionally handled the entire parking operation, starting before sunrise! They also staffed a difficult all-day Rest Stop #1 and #4 and enthusiastically completed numerous vital event tasks & duties at the Start/Finish in Ocotillo, CA, near their Imperial County Desert Museum. They even worked late the night prior making hundreds of Peanut Butter Sandwiches! In return, my organization, Shadow Tour, LLC, was proud to name the Imperial Valley Desert Museum Society as an Official Stagecoach Century Event Charity. We were happy to assist with our own donation and giving our support to related Museum fund-raising activities.

As a full-time event organizer, with 27 past events, I have worked with many individuals, groups, Non Profits, Volunteers, even Friends & Family. In all that experience, I can honestly say the Imperial Valley Desert Museum Society is at the very top of the list in terms of their Honesty, Strong Commitment, Professionalism, Attention to Detail, Timeliness, and most importantly, Following Through in every way on each and every task/obligation. Their teamwork is obvious and strong, their energy is well-focused. Their ambitious goals for the Imperial County Desert Museum are lofty, yet attainable.

I look forward to many years of mutually beneficial partnership as each of our organizations strive to reach and surpass our long term objectives.

With Respect & Thanks,
