Impact Giving

Collective giving circles brings people together to pool their resources to make a big impact to the organizations that are funded. At Impact Giving all of the partners participate in funding and deciding on who receives the money that has been collected in a year. They also can volunteer to be on a grant committee where they are trained to participate in the process of reviewing the applications. Partners become more informed and aware about the multiple charities that are in need of support. There is also a social side of this wonderful organization run by a group of extremely dedicated and generous women!

Their unwavering commitment to creating positive change in our local community and beyond is truly commendable. There are so many worthy non-profits, some large and some quite small, but Impact Giving offers a chance to go ‘inside’ an organization to achieve a greater understanding of its work. What I love about Impact Giving is not only the power our collective giving and efforts make throughout the world, but the opportunity to meet and build relationships with like minded women who have a passion for the greater good. Together, we are able to maximize the impact our grants make, identify and support new and existing non-profit organizations, and volunteer collectively and individually to so many great causes.

I have been a part of Impact Giving (a women’s collective giving organization) for 16 years. It is a fabulous organization that empowers women to make informative decisions about where their donations go. Impact Giving aims to make the most impact for people and communities through the non-profit organizations they deem innovative, sustainable, educational and community building. I have had the pleasure and honor of participating as a junior partner for several years. I have formed positive relationships with many women and nonprofit leaders and staff. I have served on a grant committee to review sponsored agencies/organizations' submissions. During this process, I appreciate the opportunities to share my experiences and knowledge when determining why an organization should be funded.

My experience with Impact Giving has afforded me the ability to sum my donations into a greater goal that I wouldn't otherwise be able to reach alone. Additionally, I learned about programs, services, and populations worldwide.

Impact Giving is just so unique. As a woman's collective giving organization they are changing lives. I love that my charitable dollars go further when combined with other Impact Giving Partners - a charity I sponsored received $22,000 - more than I could have given personally. During the grant process, IG is educating it's partners, including me, about how to review a charity's financials, objectives and success so I may make wiser decisions about which charities to vote for to receive grants. I love learning about so so many charities and the amazing work they are doing nationally and internationally. And I love that you can participate at your own rate. Before retiring I was about to have an impact without overcommitting my time. Now that I am retired, I am joyfully doing more. I excitedly recruit anyone I can to join Impact Giving - more partners mean more charities we can impact.

I have been a Partner at Impact Giving for four years and have served as a board member for the past two years. I have loved collaborating with so many women and learning about non-profits locally and globally through our grant process. Impact Giving has allowed me the opportunity to be a part of a community with many like minded women. Through this community, we have been able to donate to many amazing non-profits. I've been a partner with Impact Giving for 6 years now and have enjoyed learning about the many impactful non-profit organizations in our local community and serving the larger global environment. Through my involvment with our grant review process, I've had the privilege of speaking personally with many of the amazing people behind all their good works. What they are doing to better the lives of others helps me feel hopeful on a daily basis. I've enjoyed the process of reviewing what these great organizations are doing with others from very different backgrounds and perspectives and have certainly grown as an individual as a result. I joined Impact Giving in 2013. I was incredibly inspired by the nonprofits that received a grant from Impact Giving and how the funds were used to make a life changing difference in people’s lives. There were a blend of organizations that received grants that were global and domestic. I love to see organizations in the US giving across the world. I also like the Impact Giving model that every member (partner) has a vote on how the grants are awarded. I’ve served on our grant committees to evaluate the grant applications and as a result have gotten to know about nonprofits that I otherwise would know nothing about. And I’ve made such wonderful friends with other Impact Giving partners over the years. It’s a talented group of like minded women who are dedicated to making the world a better place.

Last year, a friend of mine introduced me to the idea of collective giving and invited me to an Impact Giving event. I was very impressed with the work this group was doing and the women were warm, welcoming and genuine.

Impact Giving strives to make an IMPACT by providing grants to deserving non-profit organizations through their collective GIVING efforts. It's amazing to see how this dynamic group of women have used their talent and abilities to organize an army of like-minded individuals who pool their resources to effect change on so many different levels. I am so proud to be a partner in Impact Giving. For a nominal donation, of about $100 per month, I can impact at 5-6 very worthy non-profit organizations each year. This is the benefit of giving as a group. The other benefit is the people I meet. Each woman has an agenda of improving the world. In my opinion, the giving, the non-profit evaluations, the education we all get and the people we meet WAY EXCEED my expectations each and every year.

I've been a partner with Impact Giving for over ten years. It's been a privilege to serve this remarkable and innovative effort that has provided over $1M in funding to worthwhile non-profit projects since I joined. I have personally gained more than I expected and been inspired by both the non-profits and my fellow partners. I joined Impact Giving over 10 years ago because I believed "we can accomplish greater things together than we can individually". As an Impact Giving Partner we can "sponsor" a nonprofit during our grant season and they have the opportunity to write a grant and receive funds. I've had the honor of my sponsored organization being chosen 5 times; receiving over $100,000 in funds over the years! A much bigger impact than I could have made on my own. Each Partner gives $1,250 per year ($1,000 goes to our grant recipients and $250 goes to administrative costs) and we usually have about 100 to 125 Partners. This allows us to give over $100,000 each year. One of my favorite things about being a Partner is serving on our grant committees where we learn about other nonprofits. Impact Giving is well run, with a dedicated Board of Directors and a fabulous Operations Manager. If you're looking for a way to make a difference, meet amazing women and learn about courageous and committed organizations close to home and around the world...Impact Giving is the place for you.

I just watched the video with the five women who spoke about Impact Giving and I can't agree more. I am one of the founders and have loved the "impact" we have been able to create both locally and globally. With only a $1,250 commitment annually we collectively pool the money which makes it possible for us to significantly impact a number of worthy organizations. Thirteen years ago, we were only an idea. Today we have significantly helped 71 nonprofits. As a partner we have learned about the fabulous work of many organizations which were brand new to us. If you are a woman who wants to be a difference in this world, I urge you to become an Impact Giving Partner. It is so rewarding personally and for the world around us.

Wow is the word I would use to describe the experience working with Impact Giving! The women are so passionate and their care for the community shines through in all they do. They ask tough questions but do so in a way that is supportive, challenging in all the right ways and yet gracious. Impact Giving makes us better as an organization. I always leave conversations with Impact Giving members feeling empowered and given the resources and investment to make a direct and lasting impact through the work of our partnership.

What can I say about Impact Giving. An amazing group of women who have come together to make a big impact on the world.

The team at Bracken's Kitchen as prepared literally hundreds of thousands of meals thanks to the support of these amazing women. In a world where there is so much discord and divide it is great to see such a diverse group of people working together seamlessly to make the world a better place.

As a funder, Impact Giving has a very clear and intentional proposal process which is greatly appreciated. As well, the members we have interacted with over the years have all been warm, encouraging, and supportive. A great organization, and we are so thankful for all of their support.

The philanthropic model of Impact Giving is an incredible example of the effectiveness of a group of donors in making decisions on supporting nonprofits-each woman plays a role in not only making their contribution but also in assessing the impact of the charities who are applying for grants. Impact Giving gave us our first "big grant" in 2019, and we are extremely grateful for their investment in us, the Dragon Kim Foundation.
