Mission: To promote historic preservation efforts in the commonwealth of kentucky; to sponsor an awards ceremony each year to recognize the preservation efforts in kentucky and to educate preservationists and other about preservation projects and service.
Programs: In 2011, three preservation project awards in the form of framed certificates were given to three projects, one in covington, kentucky, one in louisville, kentucky, and one in wayne county, kentucky; four service to preservation awards were given to four individuals for their contributions to preservation efforts in kentucky, the recipients were from bowling green, kentucky, stanford, kentucky and london, kentucky; and the ida lee willis memorial award for excellence in preservation was awarded to a gentleman from frankfort, kentucky for his lifelong dedication to preservation
