I’ve had a husky for 12 years now and I wanted to make a difference in other huskies lives as well. I ended up adopting an angel from the incredible Husky Haven of Florida. They truly make a difference in this world!

I’ve never fostered before and let me tell you, this was the greatest experience I have ever had! Husky Haven makes the whole process a breeze and you truly feel like you are making a difference! I ended up adopting my little angel from them and I couldn’t imagine my a better adoption process. Thank you for being a great rescue and doing all that you do!!!
We adopted Shadow from Husky Haven of Florida in 2020. He had a few issues after being raised in a hoard but he was an absolute love and we had great fun with him for 2 years. Then my husband died and I broke my femur. My long and uncertain recovery put Shadow at risk. My neighbor and Husky Haven came to the rescue. HH agreed to take Shadow back and my neighbor drove hundreds of miles to deliver him. HH arranged for fosters and for the training Shadow needed. Within just a couple of months Shadow was placed in a new forever home. I miss him terribly but I know he's living his best life. Husky Haven of Florida does great work and saved this very special dog. Thank you Husky Haven!!!
Everyone is wonderful and caring. They care about the volunteers as much as the special huskies. I adopted my first husky (Shadow). What a great experience, I found a new love, what special dogs huskies are. I wanted more so I volunteered and became a foster mom. I feel in love with my 1st foster and she was adopted within 2 months. All of the volunteers work wonderfully together. The team far exceeds care of the dogs and does everything they can to provide for them. I am so proud to be part of his nonprofit.
What a wonderful organization!! I found them when I was looking for a new member for our family! We had a rescue already and wanted to rescue another dog, I’ve always wanted to have a husky, and I certainly found one! Loki (Legend was his name) came to us at 8 months old, after being abandoned at an airport! One of the volunteer members had flew him down to HHOFL. The process was easy, yet very thorough. They made sure we were ready to welcome him to our homes and understood the breed. Loki has been the perfect addition to our family! HHOFL is an extremely caring family, rescuing dogs all over and I’m a witness to the wonderful work they do for the Huskies!
An amazing organization that gives animals a second chance at life. They thoroughly Vet both fosters and adopters to ensure there is very few return animals. They help in providing vet care, behavior analysis and placement for these beloved animals.
This charity cares. You don’t find that in many places. They care about their dogs and dogs that aren’t theirs yet. I rescued my Harley girl from them and I can’t thank them enough for saving her and uniting us.

Husky Havens and Francia are the most dedicated and loving rescuers out there. They LOVE every single husky as if it were their own. They make sure each dog goes to a forever, loving home. And they make the adoption process so easy for those who have never adopted before. Can’t recommend this rescue enough!
I adopted my Husky from these amazing people! He’s a therapy dog now! He’s certified through Love on a Leash and we run a group on Saturday mornings for a substance abuse treatment center. Talk about who rescued who? Thank you Husky Haven … literally changing 1000’s of lives with just this one rescue!
I foster for Huskey Haven and it’s not just a rescue
It is like a big family. They are always there for you for any concerns. My Foster Jack was sick late on a Sunday night and Huskey Haven did not hesitate to pay for his E.R visit. I have never met such dedicated people ❤️ Jack is my 9 year old Foster and so thankful to be a part of this group.
Husky Haven of Florida is an amazing rescue organization that saves husky lives. Thanks to them I adopted our beautiful Zeus FKA Chompers who was in the euthanasia list and they found a wonderful foster, I love their adoption process they really care about these beautiful babies making sure they go to a forever home . Our beautiful Zeus had the best life ever . We love and miss him so much . We will foster and adopt for them in the future . I highly recommended it . Blessings.
Big hearts, big dedication and big results. Husky Haven has been a great experience adopting through and fostering with. Their love for these beautiful dogs shows through their endless efforts to rescue and rehome dogs in need. They take the rescue part very seriously and save dogs that are on the brink of euthanasia at shelters and dogs dropped off in the streets and abandoned. Husky Haven is professional in their organization and strict efforts to put the dogs in great homes that match their personality and needs.
For over 15 years, I have been involved in fostering dogs and working with various rescue organizations. Among them, Husky Haven Florida stands out as a beacon of excellence in the field. Their unwavering commitment to rescuing and rehoming dogs, combined with their thorough and considerate approach, makes them one of the best rescue organizations I've encountered.
Husky Haven of Florida’s dedication to rescue work is truly commendable. Their team goes above and beyond by organizing and coordinating multiple volunteers for transporting dogs. This effort ensures that each dog is safely and promptly brought to their foster homes. For instance, I’ve witnessed them arrange transport involving up to four people to make sure a dog can begin its new life in a nurturing environment.
The organization’s commitment extends to their meticulous adopter screening process. They ensure that each dog is matched with a home that meets their specific needs, which is crucial for the well-being of the animals. Husky Haven of Florida’s thorough approach to vetting adopters reflects their dedication to the long-term happiness of the dogs, preventing future abandonment or distress.
Another standout aspect of Husky Haven of Florida is their recognition of the contributions of volunteers and fosters. They consistently acknowledge our efforts, which fosters a sense of appreciation and community. Personally, I have felt valued and supported throughout my time working with them, which enhances the overall experience and motivates continued involvement.
Husky Haven of Florida exemplifies the highest standards in dog rescue and rehoming. Their dedication, careful screening process, and appreciation for their team highlight why they are an exceptional organization. My experiences with them reaffirm their status as a leading force in animal rescue, and I wholeheartedly endorse their work.

Husky Haven of Florida is where I adopted my fur baby. This is truly an excellent organization to adopt from. All dogs are vetted before adoption. Consider fostering for them first and you can foster fail like me. It was the great decision!
HHOFL is a wonderful rescue. I adopted a Husky from them in early 2023. Unfortunately, my sweet Skyy was diagnosed with cancer in 2024. HHOFL helped me fund her cancer treatment when I was struggling to pay for everything myself. Skyy passed in June and I was lucky enough to adopt another sweet pup named Viva from HHOFL. This rescue is responsible and caring and I can’t recommend them enough.
Husky Haven has been incredible saving dogs and getting them into good homes. They make sure the dogs they place are in qualified homes. And knowing how much work Husky puppies are, only experienced puppy Husky owners are allowed to adopt since so many are returned to shelters.
I have two from Husky Haven and love this rescue!
I have worked with Francia numerous times saving huskies that ended up on the euthanasia list. She is so easy to work with and really does right by the dogs. This organization is wonderful! They give the dogs the best care and find them loving forever homes.
Husky Haven of FL goes above and beyond to ensure their dogs receive all the necessary veterinary care before adoption. Many of the dogs they rescue from shelters arrive with serious medical conditions, but the team is unwavering in their commitment to provide the care they need. This dedication extends to the adoption process, where they carefully match each dog with the right family, ensuring a perfect fit for both the dog and the adopter.
We fostered then adopted our two Husky’s from Husky Haven, it is a wonderful organization that does so much for these precious dogs.
I've had the wonderful and beautiful opportunity to foster 2 amazing pups as a volunteer for Husky Haven FL. The team is awesome!! they are very organized, cooperative, transparent and truly deeply care for each and every husky we are able to rescue or help in any way possible. Everyone in this community is committed to changing a husky's life for the better! From simple tips and reposting, to driving miles to save a life and opening a home to a flufball in need, it's just a great and heartwarming feeling. Wish more people could be part of this wonderful group and help save a pup's life #HuskyLover
As a shelter volunteer, we often encounter huskies that require assistance. In such cases, we promptly contact Husky Haven, who is dedicated to providing aid and care to these dogs. Their exceptional efforts ensure that each husky receives the necessary support and attention it may need.
I started volunteering for Husky Haven last Summer. I do mostly transports to help dogs they save get to fosters or to the vet. This organization always puts the dogs first. They save the dogs that need medical care and give these dogs a second chance if they have been neglected or dumped by others. I always say the day a dog is saved by Husky Haven is the best day of the rest of their lives! The people who run the rescue always give 100% to save as many dogs as possible. They are amazing people and always come to the rescue literally!
Gave rescued 2 dogs from here and volunteered. Love the work they do to keep huskies from being a statistic

I signed up as a foster with this rescue and am very impressed with the organization and care for the dogs they have. They really care for each and every husky’s well being.
My dog was stolen 3 years ago, i found them here. They were refusing to help me get my dogs back i loved my babies. They were threatening legal action against me because i asked for help for getting my dogs back. Terrible human beings wouldnt recommend here.
With high expectations, we went through the adoption application process, taking a couple weeks, narrowing down all the bios to (4) dogs that we would love to rehome. The (10) page application requires a lot of personal information including personal references that Husky Haven did contact by phone.
Then came the video conferencing, which included a tour of our home, including back yard. We were told that the application would be processed and we would be contacted to meet the dog(s) that best fit us.
The text message did come, but the message was shocking, we did not qualify for any of the dogs that we had selected because they could only be placed in a home that already has at least (1) other dog, even though the bios does not mention this requirement. Husky Haven told us that on the dog bios "OTHER DOGS?" - "Yes", means that the dog needs to be rehomed where there is already at least (1) dog living. Our understanding that "OTHER DOGS?" -" YES" meant that the dog would be OK around other dogs, just as the bios statement directed above "OTHER DOGS" reads "CATS ?"-"YES".
The Husky Haven representative stated that there were only (3) dogs currently on the adoptable list of (34) that could be adopted into a dogless home but they were not acceptable to us.
Beware! Another version of bait and switch!

I recently quit as a foster and volunteer for this rescue as I could no longer be a part of, or support, such a poorly run organization. I feel absolutely terrible for the dogs, they are the ones that are suffering. The President is a total narcissist and went on a condescending rant about everything she does and has going on in her life because I commented on the volunteer page that there needs to be more of a social media push. It’s 100% true. If she doesn’t have the time and is clearly drowning in responsibilities, then she should accept offers of help but she refuses. They want you to just do as they say and keep your mouth shut. They block any and all recommendations and/or suggestions unless it’s from their “core volunteers”. I had a foster who was a great boy in the house but literally drug me down the sidewalk multiple times and went after multiple dogs in my neighborhood. I repeatedly asked for structured training for this pup and got nowhere except being told that it’s expensive. Yes, it is, but you are the rescue and you are supposed to be helping these dogs…whatever it takes. Plus, I pulled their financials and they apparently have quite a surplus following their supposed annual costs so they absolutely could have paid for training. I do not feel that the people at the top are really in this for the dogs. They move dogs around like it’s musical chairs, it’s horrible for the dogs. So many changes in such little time, I’ve never seen anything like it. They’ve got over 60 dogs right now, quite a few with no foster, and not even half of them are listed on their website. They don’t have enough fosters for the dogs they have yet they keep taking on more. Incredibly irresponsible. I’m so far beyond disappointed in the lack of regard for the dogs or the volunteers. This rescue should be investigated and I am looking for any resources where I can file a formal complaint. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know. I am praying for the best outcome for my foster, I loved him very much and it broke my heart to let him go.
I would have fully supported your rescue yet when I reached out for husky specific resources (training tips/ resources) i was replied to with a copy & paste response about surrendering & then when i clarified for the 3rd time that i was not looking to surrender, my message was opened and ignored. I won't support this business as I was shown that this business does not care as much as they represent.
-I am someone who is fostering a previously neglected/abused huge male husky with aggressive behaviors.. looking for support, tips, etc.
THIS IS A BAIT AND SWITCH! While they do have many dogs and they are up for adoption, they have fake pictures to lure you in.You will see a beautiful dog,not only posted on their site, but they post on multiple sites. Then when they finally call you,the dog you want is magically adopted. Then they offer you something way off from what you first wanted. And the dog is still on the website, not removed. If that’s not bait and switch,I don’t know what is.On top on that you have to fill a 13 page questionnaire. You can’t call first just to see if a dog is even there or where he is located.Your better off going to the Humane society.
Husky Haven is an extraordinary team of volunteers focused on saving and giving huskies a chance of a wonderful life.
It’s because of this organization that me and my family have the most wonderful companion we could have dreamt of. We are so thankful for all they do.

These are some of the hardest working people you will ever meet! They bend over backwards to make sure every dog they take in gets the absolute best care and the best chance at a "fur-ever" home. The screening for both adopters and even foster homes is so thorough to make sure dogs are properly taken care and placed only once--extremely low rate of dog returns and rehomes. These folks live for getting these poor abandoned or mistreated babies the love and care they deserve!
We adopted our beautiful and majestic beauty, Luna, from this amazing nonprofit. We searched for a husky for awhile, and when the team at Husky Haven interviewed us to find out more about us and what we were seeking in a Husky, they delivered our perfect match. Luna completes our home and ❤️ hearts. Thank you Husky Haven for having the hugest heart to find these majestic breeds their furever homes ❤️
Saving huskies one crazy lovable furball of energy at a time… unless there are more… then they save the whole pack! Seriously, this place is the one that steps in when a fur baby is about to be euthanized/ killed for no reason other than the human sucked. Currently we are fostering 2 delightful babies for them. We have lots of history as husky owned humans … can’t not have some singing and love
I worked with Husky haven to adopt a husky friend for the current husky that I already had. It was very important to me that I tried to adopt a companion for Nina instead of buying one as I do rescue work as well with another organization. I had a few requirements that I needed and obviously they needed to be a good fit for my current baby. Francia was my point of contact in th adoption process and she was amazing. She kept me up to date on any rescues that came through that fit the requirements that I had and she was more than accommodating when I brought Nina to the foster homes to meet her potential new companion. The level of care to find homes for these animals exceeds expectations. In the end, Nina ended up picking Blaze and they've been two peas in a pod ever since. If not for this organization stepping in to protect blaze from the beginning, I would've never had an important member of my family and I will forever be grateful for that. He was left out by himself in the hot sun and starved and no animal deserves that. It is because of situations like these that adoption organizations must do an extensive criteria check before adopting out their animals and I can confirm that husky haven takes this very seriously. It is an exhausting task to be confronted constantly by horror stories resulting in huskies needing new homes. It is incredibly taxing, mentally and physically to see the behind the scenes of what goes on in any rescue and this is something that the general public doesn't 100% see. These people are truly fighting a necessary battle to better the lives of innocent animals. I am so happy that this organization exists and saves lives of countless huskies all over the area. Thank you for all you do ! Love, Nina, Blaze and Brit.
What an amazing organization! I have adopted 2 huskies from Husky Haven of Florida and had the best experience! They are committed to finding loving forever homes for the pups they rescue and are passionate about doing so! Princess and Yeti have added so much love and happiness to our home! Thank you HHOFL for giving these huskies another chance at a beautiful life!
I volunteer transport for Husky Haven and are simply amazed everytime a dog needs a freedom ride, how quickly other volunteers step up to help. It's quite a logistics miracle! Every one involved is so kind and willing to help these beautiful dogs.
Great husky rescue these volunteers work very hard rescuing and find homes for these beautiful dogs.
We adopted 4 huskies over the years. Each time it was a positive interaction.
Every volunteer with spoke with and adopted from was very nice.
This is a dedicated and compassionate group of
Volunteers who rescue dogs but they do so much more. They get the rescues the medical help they need. They interview the perspective adopters and match them with the right dog for them. For instance, I wanted an older dog because I am older and I wanted to be here for my new family member. The amount of work that goes into the successful operation of the organization is immense. They do this day after day to improve the lives of these poor stranded animals. I can’t think of a more devoted group.
Husky Haven is a wonderful non-profit organization that has blessed us with two of our senior canines Blizzard & Bailey.
The vetting process was professionally handled by experienced volunteers that made the adoption process easy & rewarding.
We believe Husky Haven is a valuable asset for our community and a safe haven for canines until they can be lovingly placed in good homes.

We love Husky Heaven of Dlorida, they are a wonderful rescue we so many dedicated people with a común goal to save as many huskies as possible. We adopted 2 huskies with them we will definitely adopt again in the future.
Please volunteer with them is you can they can definitely use your help.
Husky Haven of Florida is more than a rescue - it’s a family of passionate individuals United to save as many huskies(and some husky impostors too) as possible.
Everyone gives up their personal time to help save as many lives as one can and hearts break when there are so many more that never get the help they need because there just isn’t enough resources.
Love everything that Husky Haven stands for and the people that makes this an amazing rescue and all the furballs that we are able to save.

Husky Haven of Florida is such an amazing rescue. They really care about the animals they rescue, making sure they get the right vet care, training when needed and giving them every single opportunity to find their forever home.
They do an amazing job of building a community around the volunteers, adopters and supporters. If you are an adopter, you have their support for life - from helping you find the dog that matches your family dynamics to providing ongoing support and guidance and always , always taking the dog back into the rescue if something happens. If you are a volunteer, they recognize how much you matter and provide you with all the support you need to help make a difference. If you are supporter, you get to be a part of the sad and happy moments of the rescue and the dogs’ lives and benefit from having access to many experts at your fingertips in dealing with rescue dogs and the beloved husky breed. And if you are a rescue dog, you are loved from the moment they hear your name and see your face and only the best home for you will do; all the love, time and expense is spent into making your life the best that it can be and finding your perfect furever family.
The world needs more rescues like this whose sole purpose is saving the animals and giving them the life they have always deserved.
I adopted Chance from husky haven in 2020 and am so thankful I did! They are a fantastic organization who want nothing but happy healthy homes for the pups they take in. Highly recommend checking them out. Adding a pic of Chance.
The best rescue I've ever worked with! Caring volunteers that work their butts off!

Thank you so much for all that this organization does!
I’ve been fostering for Husky Haven for almost a year now! I love that the organization is so dedicated to helping huskies and that they are so quick to answer if you’re having any issues or have a question! I started following husky haven when I lived in Minnesota. I moved to Florida and although I had two huskies and 9 month old twins at the time, I knew when I could I was gonna foster a dog from Husky Haven!! And here we are 2 years later. I fostered my first husky through this organization and Claire was there to help me and answer all questions I had every step of the way. This organization and the wonderful people involved love all animals and it shows. I can’t say enough good things about all the people in this wonderful organization !!
My family and I are thankful for the efforts of HHOF. Without their help many dogs, countless Huskies and other breeds would have been euthanized or left in situations that would make one cringe. We fell in love with one of our foster dogs, Finn, and he has been an amazing addition to our family. The world is a better place thanks to Husky Haven of Florida.
I adopted my now 6 year old husky from Husky Haven of Florida in 2017. I love what this organization does to rescue these unique animals and find the right home for them. The application process is very thorough, communication with volunteers, fosters, etc, is seamless. Every single person working with this group genuinely cares about these animals and the homes they go to.

HHOFL is such a wonderful organization. I was able to adopt my sweet Timber from Husky Haven 3 years ago. I was very impressed with the thorough application process. They really strive to make sure these precious animals go to the best home, and that it’s a perfect fit. I was also able to foster several huskies for Husky Haven. It was very rewarding to be able to help the dogs along the way to finding their forever homes. Everyone involved with Husky Haven goes above and beyond to make sure each dog get the very best care and finds the very best home. They take care of their volunteers and fosters like they are family. I can’t say enough about this amazing organization.
Amazing! Everything that I could have hoped for and more with the adoption process. Not only that but we have fostered with them as well, and everyone at this organization has the LARGEST hearts for huskies and saving every one they can!
Everyone involved with this organization are amazing people. The lengths they go to make sure all these beautiful dogs are saved. We’ve fostered 6 dogs with HHOF and transported many to their foster homes. The progression these dogs were able to make and how happy they were knowing they were going to their furever home makes it all worth it. You guys are awesome!!!
I started working with Husky Haven in September of 2022 and honestly I’ve never met a better and more passionate group of people. I reached out to become a foster as I felt I was in a place to open my home to help puppies in need. Little did I know I would become obsessed with the dogs I fostered and the cause. The husky breed is very unique dog and you can tell that each volunteer puts their whole heart into finding these phenomenal fur babies a home. Anything I’ve ever needed while fostering they have been there 24/7. I even found my Raya through them. I’ve been longing for a dog for years since I lost mine and Raya filled that void. Forever grateful for this foundation
We have adopted two fur babies from this wonderful organization. They work tirelessly to provide safe and loving homes for so many fantastic dogs that are in need.
Husky Haven of Florida Inc.; is a fantastic organization that helps, cares and give it all to helps to all Huskies or all dogs that have been abandon. They give them hope, medical attention and best of all love.
This is an amazing group of people who do selflessly good works on a daily basis. The Husky breed is not for the weak or faint of heart and this organization proves they’re in it for the right reasons to fight for these dogs who can’t fight for themselves, to ensure they go to the right families for forever homes. We adopted our second Husky Ruby Sue from Husky Haven of Florida and will forever be grateful for this organization!
They are always very interested in the wellbeing of the rescues. Very informative. Very king at the time of communication and super responsible.
Husky Haven has changed the lives of so many dogs! Purely volunteer team is amazing and accommodating. They make it so easy to volunteer and give you everything you need to foster!
Husky haven has changed my life. I adopted a beautiful dog named Charlotte, who would have been put down due to an overcrowded shelter. The shelter contacted Husky Haven, who drove to Gainesville to get her. The put her in a kennel with a doctor who treated her. She was so matted with skin issues and all. I saw her beautiful face on husky haven and I knew she was the dog for me. She was so loving to everyone she met and gave tons of kisses. I had her for about 5 years and she died of old age. I now got a second dog through husky haven, named Shadow. He fills my life with so much love and fun. Francia is the most amazing person to run Husky Haven, she not only gives all her time and love but runs a dopio (26 miles) to raise money for the dogs at husky haven, and she is not a runner. We love Francia and Husky Haven with all of our heart. Thank you for all you do!!!!!
I just recently adopted the newest member to my pack, Shiloh my little white polar bear. It was a very smooth process. They are very thorough and particular with this process and who they adopt to. Which they should be. These angels have been rejected from one furever home and the caring people that run this rescue know it's imperative that they dont go through that loss again with their new home. I believe in this rescue so much that I have become a volunteer. I give them 5 stars 100 times over.
We've adopted three Huskies from Husky Haven. All of the dogs have been well vetted. They provide knowledge on caring for the Pups.
We also volunteer and they are a great group to help rescue Huskies in need of homes.
In June 2021 I said goodbye to my best friend, I rescued Senior named Aragon Who was my entire life. His good friend Kony was a senior rescue Husky from HHOFL Who preceded Aragon in passing about four years earlier. Safe to say my heart was broken and my friend Francia at husky haven knew my deep pain. Suddenly one morning about two weeks after I lost my friend, Francia contacted me and said she knew it was very early to think about another rescue but she had the perfect dog in mind for me. She said in “almost senior“ had come to the rescue… A malamute named Havoc Who she said would be a perfect fit. I had my doubts because it was so soon but since she had become such a close friend and understood my love for older rescues I told her I would go and make a visit. Havoc, it turns out, was indeed the perfect dog for me in a time of despair and heartache. Over a year later we are ready to celebrate his eighth birthday together and even though I have moved to Alabama husky haven remains so near to my heart and Francia and their volunteers are nothing less than angels on this earth. Have a quiz not my first adoption nor will he be my last but they’re intimate knowledge of owners and dogs and volunteers makes them so very special. Havoc has carried me through recovering from a near fatal car crash and losing my career job within three months of each other and he is a faithful and loving friend.
Husky Haven goes over and above to help the animals that never stop coming in. My hat goes off to the tireless effort they put forth to keep on helping!!
I work for a municipal shelter in northwest Fl.. We have called on Husky Haven to help us numerous times with huskies coming in to our facility. They have saved countless lives by working with us, and always remain professional and caring.
Husky Haven in my opinion is the kindest & caring organization there is and it’s where my son Christopher found his Loki Bear who is the sweetest Husky on earth on 9 February 2019, than Chris moved in with Brittany, his lovely Fiancé and while they were at the dog park they met Lola ( formerly Nova ) who came from Husky Haven also as Chris & Brittany looked at each other they couldn’t resist Lola Charm and on 15 February 2020 was Lola Happy Gotcha Day Lola & Loki love each other so much I’m so excited this Christmas 2022 to see Loki and meet Lola my sweet Grandfur Pups
I have been both an adopter and a foster through Husky Haven and they are top notch. They sit every i and cross every t and all with a smile and a hug. They are just a top notch organization! They love the dogs and put them first! Can’t say enough amazing things about them!
We love Husky Haven Of Florida! We adopted our two fur babies, Loki and Lola from them. They take such great care of the dogs and make every effort to help as many as they can. Loki was our first and a year later we ran in to a couple that was fostering Lola (Nova) and It was love at first site. We were all meant to be a family!
I first adopted Loki in 2019 from HH, then almost two years later I adopted another Nova …. Now Lola - I love this organization everyone is super nice. I plan on continuing to adopt rescues from HHOFL
Saved an abandoned senior Huskie female from shelter where her owners had abandoned her. Matted beyond belief, extremely smelly and dirty, and with bilateral glaucoma… Amazing rescue provided transport on a Sunday and vet appointment on Monday!
This great rescue took a husky that was near death in Ohio, transported to Florida and gave Nova the best home ever. I will be eternally grateful, as will all of us at Brown County Humane Society Georgetown, OH. This is a great organization!!!
No expense is spared to save a dog ❤
I have rescued two huskies from Husky Haven. I am so glad they take such good care of the dogs. Both of mine are very healthy. Thanks to the vet care they supplied for the dogs. Thank you HH for your work ❤️❤️
Husky Haven of Florida Inc is so great to adopt through. They rescue a crazy number of dogs each year, yet take the time to make sure, you and your new rescued pal are a good fit. While their main focus is obviously Huskies, I adopted a much smaller Pomeranian / mini Australian sheppard.. Before adopting through them, I did my homework. But they did their homework on me too. I ended up with a beautiful pup who was healthy and up to date with his vaccines.
Wonderful group of people that go above and beyond to rescue Huskies. If there is a will there is a way with this team.
They are all about what is best for their rescues and go out of their way to ensure that all placements work out for the best of the dogs.

We fostered two pups for this rescue group and have followed them for a year. They have the biggest hearts but more importantly, they are careful with their dogs. They screen the potential adopters and try to match them with the best dog, or encourage people to consider other breeds. I can not speak higher of a group!
I joined this rescue a few years ago after one of my huskies had passed away. I thought fostering others would help me get through the pain of loss. I found HHOFL and fostered a young pup who was owner surrender and at a young age had been in so many different homes. HHOFL had transported him to me and provided for him. I eventually adopted him. HHOFL saves lives, simply put.
Husky Haven is a well oiled rescue, they have various volunteers who help out in many different roles. I adopted my Zeus 8 1/2 years ago as a 6 month old pup. He is a treasure and such a great boy. They don’t just help puppies, they help out adult dogs and dogs with different needs, such as blindness, etc. i volunteer with them as my time permits.
Adopted both my huskies from HH and the first thing I noticed is that they really care for their dogs. I see the struggle that they have to go through to save these babies from broken homes or not having a home at all. They would go through any lengths to save a dog in need. Before I adopted my huskies I had to go through a series of qualifications including a home check. I have never seen a rescue do that before and it was great! It insured that these babies are going to a good home. Both my dogs had all their shots, flea and heart worm prevention, and fixed. I have had neighbors of mines adopt from HH too and they could not believe how much they cared for these dogs. I am thankful that Husky Haven is the voice to these dogs.
Many years ago I had two Huskies. they were my family from 8 weeks until their deaths shortly before 16 years. it took 10 years before I was ready for another dog. when I was, a friend told me about husky haven. I looked into their history and what they were about and I was amazed. they save as many as they can regardless of situation. stray? lost? abandoned? surrendered? need surgery? they are there for these dogs. We adopted our Kodai from them about 4 years ago and when we were ready, we adopted Kota from them as well. both of these dogs were lost, alone and starving living on the streets. if not for this rescue, they would more than likely be dead. thus recuse goes the extra mile constantly for these dogs. every person involved is amazing as everything is done through volunteering and money raised thru donations to pay for any and every type of vet care needed.
Husky Haven is a remarkable organization. They not only rescue dogs and find them good homes, but they also get the dogs the medical care that they desperately need. They make certain to match dogs with the best family for that dog. They are run by the most dedicated, caring, and amazing volunteers.
I have adopted five Siberian Huskies from Husky Haven of Florida. This organization is manned by volunteers. No one is paid so all funds raised by HHOF go directly to the dogs and their care. The volunteers are compassionate and knowledgeable. The adoption process is thorough to insure each Husky goes to a home where they will find an abundance of love and receive exemplary care.
Fay Marie, Sienna Rae, Nani Victoria, Dani Jean, & Kodiak Bear love HHOF! ❤
Husky Haven saves so many pups. People think it's ok to dis guard a dog because it no longer works for their life. The dogs have no idea why they are ripped from the only homes they know. Husky Haven takes all dogs in no matter what their needs are and saves them and puts them in forever homes showing these dogs love and compassion. We took in one of these abandoned dogs who was hours from being put down from a kill shelter. He is the most loving and amazing dogs and is a huge part of our family now. We are grateful for Husky Haven for saving him.

Husky Haven is an amazing rescue group. I met them at a charity event and followed them for several years. I had recently rescued from another person who was in it, I found out later, more for profit not the well being of the dogs. When we decided to rescue again, we went with Husky Haven they rescue all dogs no matter the shape the husky is in and they bring them back to health and then pair them with the right people who will give them the loving homes they deserve. They screened and asked us many questions not only about us but our other fur babies. We rescued a poor baby who was abandoned on the streets and was just hours away from death when Husky Haven swooped in and saved him. We are so blessed with our Thor, he fit immediately with our other 3 and it's like they all grew up together. Him and my Lancelot are best friends and most pics have to be of them together lol. Please if you love huskies and want to help, this is the organization to help. I just wish I could hit the lottery to help them money donations so the the pups that need medical attention can get it.
We have fostered pups and adopted with this fantastic rescue, great people that truly care about the animals. I cannot recommend them enough!
It was clear from the first day that I applied to become a foster through this rescue that a lot of love, care, and expertise is put into this organization.
It's heartbreaking how many huskies end up in shelters and abandoned simply because people don't do their research on the breed (though I acknowledge that this isn't the only reason). I saw their plea for fosters on social media and decided to apply. While I have some experience with animals as a pet owner and enjoy researching dogs just for fun and education, I had never fostered before. Every step of the way, the leaders of this rescue have been available to help me with all of my questions and concerns despite their own busy lives outside of the rescue. I'm grateful that they gave me the opportunity to help and look forward to continuing to help in the future once my current foster pup finds her forever home.
Amazing organization! Adopted my husky through them. I now foster for them. The husky’s are priority #1. Only well qualified adopters can have the privilege and joy of adopting one of their lovable fur babies! 100% recommend Husky Haven
We adopted our boy about 1.5 years ago. I have been following Husky Haven of Florida for quite a few years. The work tirelessly to rescue as many needy pups as they can. They rescue regardless of medical needs, etc. We have three dogs at the moment, but as our pack gets smaller, I intend to foster as much as I can. I help where I can and am so thankful there are organizations like this. Thank you!

I have been following Husky Haven of Florida for a few years and made a few small donations when I could. I lost my "soul" dog in January and even though I still had two dogs, she left a huge empty space in our home. My thought was that we would adopt an older husky but there was never one that would fit into our lives it seemed. One evening I was really missing my girl and decided to take a look at the HHoF Facebook page. That's when I saw the post for Pomsky puppies (the mother and father had been rescued from a bad situation). When the parents had been rescued, they didn't even know the mom was pregnant. I filled out an application on a whim, and I am so thankful ours was one that was chosen out of MANY applications they received. Elizabeth was the one to contact me and helped me through each step of the process. She was such a pleasure to work with. Everyone from the office to the foster mom was so friendly and it is obvious how much they care about the animals they rescue. I love following the rescues on their page. The work they do is amazing and they do not shy away from helping animal that need a lot of special care - medical and otherwise. Our boy Milo is now 4 months old and he is the sweetest little guy. We are so thrilled to have added him to our family (we also have a 7-year-old husky and a 5-year-old Shiba Inu - both rescues).
If you are thinking about adopting from HHoF, do not hesitate. And please know that the extensive application process is there for a reason. It works! Huskies are not for everyone and they need to make sure each pup is going to their forever home.
I adopted my dog, Luna (lulu), from husky haven of fl. They were amazing and helpful - and helped us to identify the perfect fit for our family. She is both a Florida pool dog and a Colorado snow Angel!
This rescue is amazing. They bend over backwards to help as many huskies as possible. I am truly in awe of how they raise money for the pups to be able to give them better lives. They are very thorough in their Foster and adoption vetting, and will not place a dog somewhere that is a bad fit, even if it will cost more money for the rescue. There are so so many homeless and mistreated huskies in florida, but I am so thrilled this group makes a measurable impact in saving as many as possible.
I adopted my senior gal Chloe from husky haven. The process was very easy and everyone was helpful and kind. They are truly advocates for the dogs.
This rescue organization is one of the best I have worked with in Florida. I was fortunate to have been able to help foster and transport a few times while I lived in the state. The volunteers go above and beyond in helping to place each and every rescue that comes through their organization. I have recommended them on many occasions and will continue!
I adopted my sweet Penny from Husky Haven of FL. This organization truly cares about these dogs and make sure that they are going to the best homes possible! The volunteers are amazing!!! I absolutely love this organization and will adopt from them again!
We adopted our girl, Ruby, from Husky Haven of Florida about 4.5 years ago. They were thorough in their adoption process (love this because dogs are going to GOOD homes) and made the experience a good one. We keep in contact with Francia and ruby’s sisters (all had double enucleations) and have a wonderful community to turn to if we have questions or concerns. Always recommend people to them if wanting to adopt.

When we were looking for a new pup to adopt, we weren't looking for any breed specifically. We found Husky Haven of Florida and fell in love with one of the pups, Nyxie. The process had a few steps like a home check and phone calls, but I know it's always in the best interest of the dogs (and we appreciate it). Unfortunately the fosters of Nyxie also fell in love and kept her, but we were informed her sister, Ruby, was ours if we wanted her. I couldn't say yes fast enough. She is our first fully blind pup but I promise you...that doesn't slow her down. We've had nothing but great experiences with Husky Haven of Florida. Francia also added us (and the 2 other sisters) to a FB group to keep in touch and share photos/meet up. I always recommend them when people are looking to adopt.
Best Husky rescue ever. Whenever I have a Husky that needs immediate rescue they are always willing to help in one way or another.
I am a volunteer foster home for Husky Haven and they’re a wonderful rescue! The nonprofit is run by very caring and hard working volunteers and every dog we have fostered has been wonderful. Husky Haven really does so much work for dogs in Florida who need their help!
We've adopted our last 2 seniors through husky haven of Florida. They go above and beyond to make sure that both the adopters and the dogs have the best outcome.
Husky Haven of Florida is the most wonderful rescue I have ever worked with. I have adopted now three wonderful rescues from this organization. They were very informative from the very beginning and were very helpful with any follow up questions thereafter. Always rescue. Save a life. And this organization truly cares about where their animals end up.
We have adopted two huskies in the past three years from Husky Haven. The organization has been great to work with. They do wonderful work to save as many huskies as possible!
We were looking for a female Husky to be a great sister for our Aussie. Not only do we love Piper, but so does her sister Maggie. In addition, as you might know Huskies are escape artists. When Piper got out, MANY people from the organization helped us bring her back home safely.
We adopted our husky Nanook from Husky Haven a little over 4 years ago. They do an amazing job helping huskies in need and matching them with their perfect families. We are so grateful for them!
My husband and I have been working with Husky Haven since we moved to Florida in 2017. Wonderful people to work with to help save this amazing breed! ❤️
We have adopted two amazing huskies from Husky Haven. They are so dedicated to finding the perfect homes for these rescues and truly give 100% to each individual dogs needs. We can not recommend them enough.
Husky Haven goes above and beyond for their beloved fur babies. I was blessed to love my senior rescue, Maggie for her last spurt of life.
A passionate group of people who spend every moment of their life trying to help huskies. Currently in a crisis, with more dogs than ever needing forever homes, this groups works tirelessly to educate and match huskies with forever homes. Highly recommend them if you are looking for a new pup
We adopted Griffin from Husky Haven back in 2018, and have since fostered 4 pups with them. They are an amazing organization with so much love and compassion for the dogs they save.
This is a wonderful organization. They are dedicated and tireless in their efforts— their love for huskies is always evident. Rescued my husky from them four years ago, and planning to adopt another soon.
We found Kristov through HHOF in November 2017, and continue to support them as often as possible. The devotion that this organization has to the Husky breed is second to none. The adoption process is very thorough, from checking references to an in-home visit by a volunteer to ensure that it is a good fit for both the humans and the dogs.
This is my favorite husky rescue/dog rescue!! They are all amazing people that do amazing things! I moved out of state and have her to find a rescue that is just as great!
I adopted my beautiful boy, Rogan, from Husky Haven of FL in 2019. The adoption process from beginning to end was amazing. They are very thorough on their background and home checks to make sure that the match between human and Husky is the best possible. Everyone at HHOFL works hard every single day to rescue, foster and adopt as many Husky lives as is possible. I have rescued 4 Huskies and HHOFL is hands down the absolute best!
Husky Havens and Francia are the most dedicated and loving rescuers out there. They LOVE every single husky as if it were their own. They make sure each dog goes to a forever, loving home. And they make the adoption process so easy for those who have never adopted before. Can’t recommend this rescue enough and I truly thank Francia for all she does for this great rescue!!!!
We adopted our wonderful dog from Husky Haven. We have met several of the volunteers at fundraising events. You can see how much love they have for the breed by the amount of fur on their clothes. This charity is all about the dogs, and saving as many as they can.
I started following Husky Haven about a year ago when I moved to Florida. Earlier this year they shared a post asking for fosters because they were having a crazy amount of surrenders and they can't help them without fosters. I filled the application for foster and after the process (checking references and my husky experience) I was told I was ready for a foster. My contact was Kim and she's always been super helpful. I saw the picture of Dylan and asked if he would be a good fit for my family, he was! He actually fit so good that we ended up adopting him I'm so grateful for HHOF because they really care about the dogs and make sure they'll be in their forever home
I joined Husky Haven of Florida to foster and help. In the few months I have seen them organize and rescue many dog across Florida with thier network of volunteers throughout the state. It's just amazing to see how much time and dedication they put into it as well as all the medical treatments they provide. My first foster Leo actually ended up staying with me because he matched so well with my cats and my other dog Stella. In the photo Leo(brown) Stella(back and white)
Because I love huskies this organization caught my eye and I have been following them for quite some time I love the way that they get creative to raise money like the 50-50 raffle is fun I love the work that they do and I recently became a volunteer!!
I have transported for this rescue multiple times, and have nothing but respect for the work that they do every day to make sure the animals are taken care of and their fosters have the supplies they need. They work tirelessly to ensure each dog in their care finds a loving, responsible owner.
Husky Haven has done so much for so many dogs in need, whether it is medical, transporting volunteers and fosters. Their main focus is always in the best interest of the dog they rescue.I have gotten 2 huskys from Husky Haven and they are both a great joy to our family
AMAZING rescue!!!! I run a local non-breed specific dog rescue in the central Florida area and have gotten the pleasure to work with husky haven on multiple occasions. The passion, professionalism, dedication, and commitment to their dogs is top notch! Whenever we receive a plea regarding a husky in need they are our FIRST call!!! They have come to the rescue of so many husky’s and successfully matched them to their forever homes. The rescue is fantastic about educating the public about the breeds needs and temperament to ensure prepared and capable homes for each and every dog. Please consider adoption and save a life!!
Husky Haven of Fl is one of a kind! The time and energy and love they give is immeasurable! I feel so honored to be a volunteer with them, they are like a big extended family! They are the voices of the dogs, they will go to any length to help save them! I also am blessed to have adopted my Husky from them. I don’t remember what life was like without him!
Thank you for all you do!

I was living in Tampa getting ready to move to Orlando. 3 days before the move my sweet girl Luna woke me up crying and bleeding all over. She was rushed to emergency surgery were they removed a lodged kidney stone that was life threatening. She was placed on a very expensive prescription dog food and after the emergency major surgery and moving expenses - I was financially overwhelmed. I was contacted by HHOFL, Francia, after a post I made about my sweet girl in another FL Husky group - and she said - we can help you with her food!! She didn’t know me from Eve but she pulled resources together and helped me with the food for 6 months!!! It was such a HUGE blessing and allowed me to get my girl completely healed and still afford her Vet appts. Without HHOFL I truly don’t know how we would have managed!! They are a wonderful group!!!
One of the most hard working group of volunteers I've ever had the pleasure of meeting! The love of the breed and dedication to each precious dog is overwhelming. We were matched with our perfect boy almost 2 years ago and wish we would have adopted sooner!!
I continue to spread the word about Husky Haven of Florida to anyone who meets our guy and asks where did we find him!
Thank you so much for blessing us with Zazu who made our family whole again.
From the very beginning, this rescue has put the husky first, and I am proud of that, I have adopted several huskies over the years and will continue to help and enjoy their success
I had been following Husky Haven for a few years and knew when it was time to open up our hearts again after the passing of our first husky that we would check out this rescue. We filled out our application and went to an event at Lake Eola. We met Francia and some of the other wonderful volunteers at that event and immediately knew after speaking to them that we would definitely be turning in our application that day. At the time we did not have a specific dog in mind but wanted to get the approval process in motion. Cheryl was wonderful to work with and gave us the go ahead right around the time we saw a picture of our gorgeous girl on their Facebook page. They got me in touch with her foster and we adopted our Aurora. She is my best friend and I could not imagine our lives without her smile, sassiness and amazing personality.
We adopted on of our huskies from Husky Haven and we couldn't be happier. Being a part of this organization is truly a blessing because it's like having an extended family. Everyone in the organization is so kind and you can tell how much they love doing what they do. We have enjoyed all the meet ups, events, and fundraisers. We plan to continue to be a part of the organization and doing all we can to help save huskies.
Husky Haven Of Fl. is a great organization. They are very easy to work with. I adopted a husky/shep mix in 2014 and 3 more huskies after that. Each time it was a pleasant time dealing with the foster families that had the pups I was adopting. I will definitely be using them again.
Here is a photo of Raven (FNA Diamond) the husky/shep we adopted. Raven is now 9 years old.

Francia had heart of gold, an unending love of all living things, and a fighting spirit to get going thru any adversity to save a dog! My first experience with this organization goes back about 6 yrs. My husband had just earned his pilots license, iwas volunteering with other rescues. We signed up for pilors, pilots, paws. Litterally hours later with no equipment to safely transport a dog , Francia called! We decided we would fo whatever it takes to make it work. Someone else picked up Asis in Miami and gave her a fleabath as she was kept outdoors. And removed ae collar impeded in her skin. When we got her. My husband was afraid to fly some drove . She was so sweet, so tired. Francia took her straight to a 24 hours vet as she was covered in ticks! Covered! I have never seen so many tricks inmy life! Tge next weekend similar story. I'm working , hubby wouldn't fly with an un tethered or crated dog by himself, so woman close to us drove to Miami to rescue this obe, one, Casper, my hubby picked up Casper, Only to find out that lady had just adopted Asia! He drove Casper an hour or so away to people who were adopting a dog from husky haven. Casper hitched a ride up with them as they drove back with their new dog, Thor! It's along story, but shows it shows how much work and effort and commitment just to rescue 3 dogs. This happens daily intheie life! I can't say enough wonderful things about this organization a
Husky Haven is absolutely amazing. The people of this organization brought us to our sweet boy, Echo and we could not be more grateful
I have experience with this non profit as a volunteer fostering and as a client adopting. They are amazing. Heart and soul is all I can say! They are what every non profit should look like. They/we all work together as a team! If a dog needs a ride… someone does it. If a dog needs rescuing…someone does it. It is a nonprofit that uses community and common sense. I can’t say enough about how awesome this place is! Husky Haven is family!
We are multiple adopters from Husky Haven of Florida. Their screening process is exceptional -- very fair and thorough. They want to make sure the right pup is going to the right family. Francia is a pleasure to work with and Cheryl, who fostered our 2 pups was wonderful. An excellent experience. If you're sure a Husky is for you, contact them. Tony & Donna
Our non-profit veterinary clinic has worked closely with HHOFL on a number of their medical cases. This organization makes sure that all of their dogs get the treatment they need before being placed in homes, so they can have the best possible new beginnings. Highly ethical and caring group.
We adopted our gorgeous boy Dexter from Husky Haven in November 2019. At the time that we were first interested in him he had received surgery on his rear leg as he came into the rescue following a botched surgery by the previous owner's vet. Despite great surgical and therapy care provided by Husky Haven, Dexter needed to have his leg amputated shortly after adopted him. Husky Haven covered all of the medical costs for Dexter and we are so grateful that they allowed us to adopt this amazing boy. We are a husky family and will absolutely be adopting from them again in the future (we will always have 2 huskies....). They really care and go above and beyond for the huskies in their care.
Most caring, devoted, hard working and committed group of wonderful people you would ever want to work with. We adopted from this organization and were so impressed with their processes saving and keeping all the furr babies happy and healthy while finding them their perfect forever home.
Husky Haven was a life saver to me when my pup crossed the rainbow bridge!! Working with Francia, she was an angel sent from above and so very caring and loving and helped me through! I adopted but had to return the pup for personal reasons BUT there was no judgement and I was able to help in other ways!!
I recommend and will continue to recommend this rescue always and forever!
Husky haven is an amazing rescue! The rescuers and volunteers are beyond passionate about what they do and how many lives they can help and rescue! Not many rescues would take on special needs animals because of the time, cost, and dedication it takes but husky haven makes it a PRIORITY! They gave Aaron a second chance at life when the vets suggested otherwise! Because of them he is loved, happy, and living the absolute best life a double amputee can! ❤️
We adapted Bella from Husky Haven, a senior that was very well taken Care of All dogs are with foster and have medical attention before adapted out. Well run organization
I've been a volunteer for Husky Haven for years, but it wasn't until we lost our beloved husky Bo this summer, that I started searching the HH adoptables. After missing Bo for several months and feeling the ache in my heart, I visited Luna at her foster home and instantly fell for her. She was affectionate, goofy and happy. Was she the one? After several play dates with Luna and getting her cleared by the vet, we felt convinced she was meant for our family. She became ours in September and she's brought laughter and husky fun back into our home. Thank you Husky Haven for rescuing her and letting her join our family. You do a wonderful service to these beautiful dogs.....and their humans. I know Bo would have loved her too.

I adore volunteering with Husky Haven of Florida! Everyone is so passionate and caring, working in various capacities to support each other while fostering, finding forever homes, keeping the pups chipped, fixed, vaccinated, monthly preventatives, and constantly finding new and creative ways to continue to raise funds, which 100% of the monies go to the dogs! From collecting shoes, to working with various vendors, to participating in competitions, it takes a lot of dedication and follow up to continue to bring funds in.
HHOFL continuously goes above and beyond to help save the lives of huskies in need. They’re never one to turn their back on a pup, despite medical concerns, location, etc. This organization thinks outside of convenience but rather what’s BEST for the animals. It’s a pleasure to not only adopt from HHOFL, but to continue to give back any opportunity I can through fostering, donations, and volunteer roles. Thank you to HHOFL for all you do!
These volunteers are truly selfless - they do above and beyond for every pup they pick up and thoroughly vet both the dogs and the potential fur-ever homes - they are always there for help and reassurance whenever asked - we have adopted our last 2 beauties from them and whenever we send them pup-dates, they always respond with gratefulness - such a wonderful group of volunteers, led by a terrific board of directors
Husky Haven of Florida is a wonderful rescue and assists homeless arctic breeds find their forever homes. It was after my husky Maya passed that I wanted to give back and help other huskies. My first foster, Kona, ended up being the perfect fit for our family.
After adopting this sweet girl from Husky Haven I was so impressed by their organization that I had to find a way to volunteer so I could become a part of their family. I am impressed that they manage to do so much with so Iittle, and always with top care and concern for the animals.
My family and I just recently adopted our third husky from Husky Haven. The rescue focuses on saving huskies that have been surrendered by owners no longer wanting them or on unable to care for them. Our first girl was hit by a car and the owners decided to surrender her instead of taking her to a vet. She had a broken leg which totally heeled because Husky Haven stepped in. Our second girl was left at a shelter in North Carolina and lucky for her she was transported to Florida. Our most recent was part of a hoarding case and was severely ill. Husky Haven stepped in and gave him the care he needed. He is now an absolutely an amazing pup. Yes, their adoption process is thorough but their first concern is making sure the pups find an amazing home . They have a wonderful team of volunteers that spend many hours day and night working to find the perfect home. Most of the volunteers also have full time jobs, and a family of their own. As a volunteer for other non profit organizations in the past, I can understand the amount of time they spend and the dedication these folks have for theses animals. If I was to adopt again, it would definitely be from Husky haven.
I have watched this rescue since Francia took over the helm. To watch, not only the extreme effort, but also the live that is shared with each and every rescue is extraordinary. I have severe hay fever allergies, so I am not able to live with most dogs. But, when I had the chance to help in my minute way, I was honored to be a part of this amazing team. Francia is a one of a kind fur baby lover! The team she has developed are top notch and if the same caliber of love. They are all truly amazing
I love this rescue and everything they stand for. I got my baby girl from them and she has been one of the biggest blessings in my life. Husky haven makes sure all animals are healthy before adopting out and they will do everything they can to do so. Hopefully one day I can rescue another baby from them again.
This rescue inspires me! They never turn away the medically needed heartbreaking cases. They MATCH dogs to applicants to find the perfect FURever homes. This organization is all volunteer based; they work full time jobs and still network and fundraise selflessly for the dogs. HUNDREDS of lives, human and animal, have been changed. I have been honored to be able to adopt from and help a little ... my heart is so full from both experiences. I CANNOT day ENOUGH or recommend enough a rescue. ONE MILLION STARS!!!!!!!

The reality today is that dogs are considered property. Husky Haven has proven through action over and over that their lives matter and that they deserve love. I have seen some horrible situations and circumstances that these dogs have been rescued from and I thank God every day for the work and the dedication and the selflessness demonstrated by these volunteers at this organization. Because hear that right… These are volunteers and this organization deserves 1 million stars!!!!
I adopted my beautiful, beloved Siberian Husky from Husky Haven on May 6th, 2017.
She was rescued from “Craig’s List” by Husky Haven. I am so blessed to have Maggie May as my lifelong companion. Her age when I adopted her was unknown; the estimate was 7-8 years old. I never even asked. I just knew when I saw her photo that I was going to petition to adopt “Armani”. My adopted dog, Matushka, died of Lymphoma, and I didn’t think that I would ever get over the loss of her. Maggie May has a totally different personality than my deceased Siberian. I think it’s so very important how carefully “Husky Haven“ screens people before placing these amazingly intelligent, beautiful, but headstrong dogs. It’s important that people realize that this is a LIFETIME commitment; interviews and home visits assist in the process of making sure that each dog gets the home that they deserve. Husky Haven is diligent, caring, and totally committed to finding a safe haven for these precious “Fur-babies.”
I have transported for, donated to, and now adopted from Husky Haven of Florida. Our initial contact was, sadly, about 4 puppies being transferred to them from Texas. By the time the pups got to my leg for transport, it was clear that something was very wrong. HHOF had an event going on that day, but gave me encouragement and support to do what was in the best interest of Chandler, Ross, Joey and Rachael. With a diagnosis of severe parvo, and later distemper, nothing was spared in the care for these special angels. Sadly, Ross and Rachael did not make it, even with the best of care. Chandler and Joey still had a rough road ahead, but recovered well enough to finish their journey to Husky Haven. Francia, Kim Pink, and my vet were in constant contact about their care. It would have been much less money, time and effort to just let these pups pass on. Husky Haven takes their commitment to each and every pup very seriously. They take on owner abandoned pups, shelter rescues, and many requiring a lot of medical care. When I was ready for my own pup, a sibling for my English Springer Spaniel, Wesley, HHOF found me the perfect match. Now I have Nero, my own HH rescue. God bless HHOF, Francia, and her organization for all they do!
I have adopted one dog from Husky Haven and soon after became a volunteer. It’s a wonderful organization where everyone has the same purpose: to save these amazing dogs that end up in unfortunate situations. They are organized and supportive and always doing the best work!
Husky Haven was a dream to work with! My husband kept looking at their page so we submitted our application without the intention to rescue right away but there were a couple we’d consider. When we found our Echo was going with another couple, we accepted it an figured we’d keep an eye out for another that catches our eye. After talking to Francia, and finding out Echo had become available, we met up with the fosters for a play date with our first fur baby and decided we’d take him! The first few weeks were ROUGH but Francia was so supportive through my “Idk if we can keep him” texts. Almost 2 years later, we wouldn’t know what to do without our Echo. Thank you Husky Haven for all you do!
Our second rescue husky had passed away at age 13 1/2 and we were looking for another to join our third rescue husky, Jewels. Francia Vognini and Husky Haven picked out the exactly right pupster for us (Jagger) and we are forever committed to Husky Haven of Florida's mission. They are caring and compassionate and always match the right pup with the right family!
If it weren’t for Husky Haven I would not have my precious girl Jazzie. They helped me with all of her medical expenses before adoption. Can’t thank them enough. My girl is a year old now.
I was interested in fostering a husky as we already had 2 and felt we had room to help another one. We given a chance to foster a 8 yr old abandoned husky who ended up being adopted by us. Yes we are foster failures. Since then I have been volunteering for Husky Haven and do home checks, dog assessments and transporting. Everyone who works with this organization has one thing in mind and that is the welfare of the dog. If the dog needs medical care, it is taken care of, if the dog needs training that is taken care of. You will not find a more caring organization than Husky Haven.
I have fostered for HH as well as adopted through them. They care so deeply to find notnjsut any home but the RIGHT home for each dog in their care. They know and understand huskies and will work with you to determine if this is the right breed for you. Absolutely the best!
In January we rescued a white husky with her 6 newborn puppies right away . Husky haven and myself took care of all their needs for the 10weeks and as a foster momma I never felt alone . All the volunteers give 100% with all their heartsAnd soul . And since them almost 1,00 dogs have been rescue . I give them a 10 star
My boyfriend and decided we wanted a dog but we wanted to try fostering for a little bit. Well 2 weeks into us fostering we ended up adopting her. Husky Haven was extremely helpful with every thing we needed. They were quick to always respond and do everything in their power to help. We love our new puppy and look forward to fostering again!!!
My husband and I began looking for a dog to join our family after losing our lab about 4 months earlier. We researched rescues in Florida to find one that was a perfect fit for us. We found Husky Haven of Florida. The application process was detailed but in the best interest of the dogs. We adopted from them in August of 2017. We enjoyed working with them so much that we did it again May 2018. Great people who truly care about the animals. We love Husky Haven of Florida!
This rescue is and has always stepped up to help with the furbabies in need .
I'm a administrator of lost pets of jacksonville and they are always there if needed for any abandoned ..Very nice and always helpful and they follow protocol in every way to assure everything's handled correctly.
I have been with Husky Haven for a little over two years. We are much more than a rescue but a family. I couldnt be more proud on the things we do for the animals without voices and for the people that volunteer for us.
Over two years ago I lost my heart with my Shiba Inu passing the Rainbow Bridge. I took some time to recover and having dealing with such a loss I swore I would rescue my next dog as I knew it would not be long before I had another. During the transition I found Husky Haven of FL and checked out the organization. I submitted an application as I had huskies before when I was younger so I knew and loved the breed. I met Francia along the way and I could NEVER say enough good things about her, the dedication she has to the organization with running it, the volunteers I had met along the way. Thankfully our paths crossed and not only did I rescue a small husky puppy I also had the opportunity to volunteer with the organization, attend meet and greets and help others find their next dog to fill their lives and their hearts. 1 dog rescued saves 1 heart in the world. What a wonderful, wonderful organization and they SHOULD BE on the Top Rated List of Non-Profits. Thank you! DM Jacksonville, FL

I lost my dog of 14 years last year (2016) and just could not imagine not having a dog in my life but I wanted to change breeds as I didn't want to compare a new dog with my last one. I had huskies in the past and started searching and came across Husky Haven of Florida and met Francia Vogini - what a wonderful person with the biggest heart. Sent in my application and spoke to Francia a couple times - my first choice fell through on a rescue BUT puppies came along and I knew it was meant to be - YES A PUPPY! WOW what an experience. Sad to say it was not a good fit in a condo with a puppy and worked with Francia to rehome my girl and came to the conclusion that I it would be good for me to foster and transport for the organization. There are so many selfless folks working as a team trying to rescue and help save lives of these beautiful creatures and not only do they save the dogs life, they also save the human. My heart opened wider helping as I could and it was a great experience. I tell folks all the time whenever I can about this organization and the wonderful work they are doing! I am proud to say I had the opportunity to come across such wonderful people and am proud to say I am a client as well as a volunteer.
After our previous husky passed - I wasn't sure we would get another.
However, as I was scanning HHOF website and looking at available dogs my husband became very interested in Hudson. We contacted HHOF and filled out the adoption paperwork.
HHOF was very thorough in their questions and checked with our previous vet about the care we gave to our previous husky.. HHOF doesn't just want to find "A" home for their dogs - they want to find the BEST home. Huskies are a special breed that take alot of patience and determination to handle. Many people just see the beautiful dog and don't realize the work involved with owning a husky- so then they get frustrated and get rid of them. It's surprising to many people how many "huskies" live in Florida.
We had previously owned 3 huskies -and had knowledge and experience with their behavior.
HHOF answered all of our questions and worked with our schedule so we could meet Hudson.
It takes Very special people to run a non profit dog rescue - and Francia and her team are VERY SPECIAL. Her love and patience shows no boundaries.
Francia takes her own huskies to schools to educate children on dogs and in particular Huskies.
Francia is very passionate about providing the dogs with the love and care that they deserve.
She works tirelessly at fund raisers so that she can rescue as many dogs as possible and provide them with medical care when needed.
I know that receiving money would help HHOF with the tremendous expense of rescuing and providing medical care for the dogs that need it.
Please consider HHOF so they can continue to find the "best" homes, and medical care for their rescues. .
I have added a couple of photos of Hudson. He goes to work with my husband everyday - and loves the attention customers give him. He also loves swimming in the pool.
Thank you

Husky Haven of Fla is a well organized and well run rescue predominantly for Siberian huskies. I became a volunteer with the rescue several months ago. I had the pleasure of fostering for Francia and I was extremely impressed with her loving and caring attitude. The welfare of the animal is always a priority and the rescue will go above and beyond to ensure the best care for the animal. Husky Haven of Fla is a top notch animal rescue!
As fosters for this organization, we have seen so many incredible dogs saved and given the beautiful, incredible lives they deserve.
I started as an adopter which was a wonderful experience. They really weed out anyone not serious by having you fill out many well thought out questions and once approved there was a homecheck where a volunteer brought his own Husky to show the temperment. After that it was only a day or two before 3 volunteers each drove a leg of the way to deliver my dog from south Florida.
.I have stayed engaged and had monthly donation withdrawals deducted and then last week I felt the time was right to start volunteering myself.
I can't say enough great things about H.H.O.F as an adopter, donor and volunteer. Thank you for all that you do!!!
I rescued the love of my life, Macy two years ago and I have been a foster for Husky Haven for a year now. This rescue is the best! They hardly ever turn a pup in need down. They fully vet the pups before adopting out. The pups are fostered in peoples homes where they grow and learn how to live amongst us people, instead of being kept in a shelter or boarding, unsocialized. When you adopt from Husky Haven you are adopting the best!
I have been a foster for this amazing rescue for a couple of years now! Everyone is amazing and each person has a huge heart for helping those dogs that people give up or take a pass on. One of the best non profit organizations I know and I’m proud to be affiliated with them!
A wonderful rescue organization for Huskies and husky mixes of all ages. I recently adopted THREE dogs from them. Nyssa, a beautiful husky girl was first. We then took in Snow as a foster and fell in love so we adopted him as well. And last, but not least. we adopted Jace, a loving husky mix. Everyone has been incredibly helpful with the adoption process. We now have a pack of five in our live ly household and are planning to foster in the future, once everyone is well settled with us. Thank you to everyone at Husky Haven! The work you all do is so appreciated by humans and Huskies alike!
Husky Haven of Florida carefully selected the perfect husky for my family. Being able to talk directly to the foster mom before the adoption was soooo helpful in preparing for the new addition. They even arranged transport across the state. After adopting, they continued to provided great support in dealing with some health issues of the new dog that had not been previously evident. I had been a skeptic of rescues, but HHOF certainly changed my mind. I now volunteer as I am able, and love staying connecting with these wonderful, caring people. They truly care as much about making happy families as they do rescuing the dogs.
I have adopted twice from Francia and this wonderful organization!! I started out volunteering to help with transport and evaluating huskies in shelters to fostering! Now I help match families with their perfect fur baby! Volunteering for the rescue has confirmed what I already new, we care very much about these dogs who have been treated unfairly and we do everything in our power to make sure the rest of their life is an amazing one!!
Husky Haven has been absolutely wonderful to work with through adopting both of our dogs. We worked with Francia, who was a huge help and still remains in communication with us, happy and ready to answer any questions we have! :) A year or so after adopting our first dog, we knew we wanted to add another to the family but wanted to find the right fit. Husky Haven and Francia worked with us to find the perfect dog to fit in with our family and our other dog. What rescue does that!? They have been incredible as far as help, encouragement, and support every step of the way. We can't recommend them enough!
What a wonderful adoption experience! The application was thorough, and the staff answered all my questions. They even did follow up checks to ensure the transition to a new house was going smoothly. The care and concern for their animals is highly evident.
I have 2 furbabies from Husky Haven. I got Rocketboy cause he needed surgery so I paid, then I was supposed to foster a Beagle mix ? and once she came in the house Rocket said she had to stay so she did. I also have another rescue I saved in New Mexico when I was on a contract there. I had hoped to be able to help with Husky Haven more but due to a health problem I am unable to do so and it makes me sad. Franci and all the people involved with her are the greatest in the world.
Husky Haven of Florida Inc. helped me find my best friend. Francia fostered my Max herself for nearly 4 months because no one else was the right fit, but she helped us find each other and I will be forever grateful. Max is my whole world and I've been inspired to begin volunteering because their work means so much to me. They are thorough with researching adopters when placing dogs and only want the best for those that they take in. Everyone who contributes to this organization does so out of the goodness of their own hearts and that truly says something about the work that is being done. HHOFL truly has passion for their work and their pups.
I am so thrilled to have found this amazing organization. I own a Husky and understand the challenges of this breed. I have donated to Husky Haven a few times and now have the privilege of fostering one of their rescues. I am proud to associate with Francia Vogini and her band of volunteers. This is a well organized foundation that deals with a very special breed of animal in very difficult circumstances. The medical expenses are tremendous in addition to daily care. Don't hesitate to donate to Husky Haven, their work is immeasurable. Kathy Fagan
We adopted Zeus from Husky Haven of Florida, and we are so in love. Zeus was both my husband’s and my very first dog, and he is just wonderful. Francia has been great answering any questions we’ve had about the breed. We really feel like we are part of the Husky Haven family.
Our family received help from Husky Haven of Florida when we rescued two huskies from a backyard breeder (in the form of advices and breed info). We were so impressed with their genuine care and dedication to helping huskies that our family started volunteering for this rescue org. We did some transports, some home checks, some petsitting, and some fostering. We ended up adopting one of our foster pup, so we now have three huskies:) . Husky Haven of FL is a most excellent rescue org. It's mind blowing how fast volunteers respond to requests for help. We have never seen a rescue more efficiently run and more effective than this one. From the alert of husky in need to adoption, the process is very streamlined, while strict to ensure a best home for each pup in care. Our family is proud to be a part of this rescue's volunteer community. The ever growing number of volunteers ( I think most adopters become volunteers) is a great proof of this rescue's integrity and achievement in their goal to help any huskies in need.
This rescue has gone above and beyond any rescue I have ever worked with . They take in the high priority huskies that require extensive medical treatments which means expensive bills but never complain and by the grace above they never waiver . Just today I called Bc a husky was hit by a truck and with no questions asked they sent me straight to the vet . If there was a 100 star rating , I'd push that button .
But amazing rescue I have ever worked with! Care about each and every dog making sure they are truly cared for and adopted into the perfect homes.
As an animal rescuer in the Panhandle of Florida, I rely heavily on the good graces of Husky Haven of Florida to assist us with the stray and owner surrendered Huskies in our area. While we do have some good rescue groups here in Pensacola, there are no groups to assist our homeless Husky population which is, sadly, on the rise. The team at Husky Haven has not only accepted every Husky that we've needed help with, but the coordination that goes on with them for each of these dogs behind the scenes is thorough, professional, and has truly been a pleasure. They are quick to make arrangements for fosters, transportation from the Panhandle to their location in Central Florida, and also for each dog's vetting needs. Some Huskies they've taken in from the Pensacola area have had major medical needs with costs in the hundreds and even thousands of dollars, which they have been very prompt to supply treatment for. The following that this group has built for themselves because of their good reputation seems to enable them to find appropriate permanent placement in forever homes for the Huskies they rescue as well. This, of course, is also of great importance for the long term wellbeing of dogs who enter into rescues. Husky Haven of Florida is top notch when it comes to animal Rescue.
I have been with Husky Haven of Florida since 2012 as a volunteer. This is a great rescue that takes in dogs that other rescues sometimes won't. They are about what is best for the dog and placing them with the best possible adopter.
Husky Haven of Florida, Inc. is the best dog rescue in Central Florida! I have adopted two dogs from the rescue and they are wonderful! They go above and beyond to rescue dogs from all over the United States. Everyone at the rescue is kind, compassionate, and knowledgeable about huskys and also many other breeds. Husky Haven of Florida Inc. utilizes excellent judgment of character when adopting out dogs. Not just anyone can get one....full vetting of the potential owners is a must at this rescue and that is to be admired. All dogs are assured an excellent home and all people who adopt from this rescue are SUPER Happy! I have worked with other dog rescues before and have not seen the type of dedication Husly Haven utilizes. I was a client for two years and now I am a volunteer and thrilled to be part of the Husky Haven family! I would recommend Husky Haven to anyone for adopting a dog as they are amazing!
Having both worked with them for several years, and rescued our youngest pup with their assistance, I can honestly say I've rarely worked with a finer organization anywhere in the country!
I can't say enough good things about Husky Haven of FL. My husband and I had to lay to rest our husky mix earlier this year and it was really tough for us. A friend of ours had rescued a husky from hhofl last year and told us to look into them when we were ready. We placed an application and got a phone call from Francia within a day or two. She is amazing. She was very thorough and told us of a few pups that would match what we were looking for. Along came Ridley (formally Atlas) and I don't know who rescued who! He is an amazing pup! Huskies are not for everyone but we sure love him and have been thinking of possibly adopting another ☺️. Thank you to everyone at Husky Haven for being so amazing!
I took a leap of faith one day and adopted a husky named Chloe. She instantly stole my heart and showed me the devotion and love of a pup. Six months later we added Dakota to our family. These two are inseparable. I thank Husky Haven for having faith in me and allowing me to be apart of these two amazing dogs lives.
This organization is nothing short of perfection. The Husky Breed is not for everyone but the team at Husky Haven not only understand the breed they love it, passionately. I have volunteered with the organization a little under a year and have also become an adopter to one magnificent Husky named Ghost. If more. rescues would work with Husky Havens ethic and genuine care for the pups the world would be a better place!
I adopted a rescue from Husky Haven- her name is Ariel Marie- 6 yrs. old, 35 lbs, she is a mini-fun size husky, noted by her vet, not accepted by the AKC, they have to weigh 45 and up., she has had a hard life, was found on the streets of Port St. Lucie, Fl., I was looking for a Shepard, and had applied for a husky a while back, but never got called, finally after I had my eye on this shepard, they tell me about Ariel, Zaria called me, said I got the perfect dog for you.... in the end, me and my cousin travel to orlando, pouring rain out from Bradenton, and its been 7 mos this month, so it really took this long for her to settle in, play with toys, which she had no clue, Horrible... now she runs her toys and babies all over the house....
A wonderful wonderful organization, run souly on contribution to help these animals when they come in.... I recommend Husky Haven every time someone sees her... Francia, and their staff of fosters, and everybody involved have nothing but the BEST in mind for these animals... CUDOS TO HUSKY HAVEN.. and their miraculous work!!!!!!!!
I have adopted two Huskies from Husky Haven of Florida, Inc and they are a FANTASTIC organization. Francia went above and beyond in assisting us with meeting our huskies as well as connecting us with other husky owners to ask any questions we had. I will continue to support Husky Haven of Florida and all my future dogs will be Huskies. Thanks for everything!!!
I love that Husky Haven of Florida doesn't turn their backs on the dogs that might be deemed too "old" or "broken" or "injured" to try and rehabilitate. It's not hard to commit rescue dollars to pull a beautiful puppy or 2 year old out of a shelter who has good manners, good health and a wonderful temperament, because those pups usually get adopted out quickly. It takes a lot more work, commitment, patience, money and compassion to commit to pull the older, the lame, the not entirely perfect, the abused, the non-socialized and the terrified from the shelter. Many of HHF's dogs come from death row - quite a few in just the nick of time. They are shown that life, and people, can be wonderful and kind and are given the best chance possible to heal and thrive. I've never met better people who share all that they have - and sometimes more - to help these beautiful and deserving dogs. My Juneau thanks you, HHF for rescuing her. Without you all, she'd not be the very happy pup she is today and I'd not be the lucky person who adopted her.
The work Husky Haven of Florida does caught my eye on a Husky Facebook site and brought me to tears. I began following them on FB and befriended Francia. The tireless efforts of this organization I just cannot put into words. They truly put the welfare of these fur babies ahead of their own personal lives. The networking and teamwork is amazing. I truly believe they never sleep and never say no to a Husky that needs their help. Their stories are so heartfelt and they truly work miracles. I own 3 huskies myself and know first hand how special this breed is. I live 4 hours away and work full time, so I do my part by actively donating to help with surgeries and special needs. I am close to retirement, and when I do I will apply to do volunteer services or whatever else Husky Haven needs. The selfless dedication of Francia and her staff far exceeds 5 stars!!
We adopted Tala (the fur baby on the left) from HHOFL in March, and we could not have imagined working with a more thoughtful, organized, and overall amazing rescue as first-time adopters. Everyone in the organization, from application to adoption and beyond, truly and deeply cares about each and every single dog and makes sure that they do everything in their power to find loving homes. Not only have we found the perfect fluffy addition to our family, but the humans also find themselves a home in this HHOFL family. They deserve every little bit of recognition for their hard work!
Husky Haven of Florida stepped up to rescue a dog abandoned at the vet completely last minute, saving her from imminent danger at a kill shelter. I am so appreciative of the way this organization is run, from intakes to adoptions. 10/10 bones!
Love this organization, and all the volunteers. All the time and effort they put in to helping the dogs. Its just simply amazing, my heart is so full.
I personally assist with fosters and transport and have had an amazing experience. They are very committed to the animals and people involved. Highly recommend.
Husky Haven of Florida is an outstanding rescue organization. Francia helped to place the perfect husky in desperate need of rescuing into my home and then 4 months later she helped to place another perfect companion and pet into my home. I never realized how incomplete my home was until adding 2 dogs. I love the organization so much I started volunteering to help in any way that I can, it’s so fulfilling knowing my small part helps to rescue a precious life.
This is an amazing organization filled with incredible people. They are VERY thorough in their application process and they are adept at matching the right dog with the right person. Due to their high energy and care demands, Siberian Huskies are one of the most abandoned dog breeds. Thankfully Husky Haven and their vast, family-like network of fosters are able to expertly use all of the resources at their disposal to give all of these good girls and boys a second chance at life, one of them being my own baby, Odin.
Husky Haven, Francia and all the volunteers are simply amazing. They truly care about every dog they rescue. They put so much of their love, time and heart into the rescue. I'm very thankful for such a great organization. If I could give them 10 stars I would!
They do great work rescuing huskies from around the state. We got our Husky from them because they took the time to match the dog to our family. Would definately recommend them if you are looking for a husky of any age or personality.
Nikita was a feral dog that was wondering the streets of Tampa for months. She came to Husky Haven of Florida where she was fully vetted. She was terrified of people and would not let you touch her, she was fast and would run away if you tried to get near her. Luckily for her, she was dog friendly and was lured with another dog and we finally caught her. At her foster home ,her fursibling Simba, gave her the confidence she needed and now she loves her people but is still afraid of strangers. We hope with time she will overcome this. For now, she is happy in her home. We foster failed and is part of our family now. She lives with 2 cats and 5 huskies! Her smile tells how happy she is.
The heart of the organization are our volunteers! We truly have the most compassionate and loving people in our organization. We feel honored we are able to help so many because of the tremendous work our volunteers do day to day!
