Mission: Each year over two million women risk life threatening health problems due to FGM. KAMILIKA'S mission is to stop FGM and to assure women's rights by working directly with circumcisers. It provides health education, job training, forums for community leaders and village elders, counseling and safe houses for girls fleeing circumcision, safe alternative rites of passage. It creates global awareness of the dangers of FGM and raises money through the sale of beaded jewelry made by ex-circumcisers.
