The dedication from the staff and volunteers at Wickenburg Humane Society is awesome!!! They ALL always go above and beyond to take care of the animals that others have discarded. Congratulations on a job well done!!!
I became a volunteer at the shelter last year. I enjoy helping doing what ever I can. The other volunteers and staff have so much love and compassion for the animals. I look forward to helping as long as can.
I am a volunteer and am so impressed with the outstanding care the Wickenburg Humane Society provides for the animals at their shelter. The employees love all of the animals, as do the volunteers. They are amazing animal ambassadors!
The leadership, employees and volunteers work together as a fantastic team. First foremost in everyone's mind is the wellbeing of the cats and dogs that are brought under their care. Very much community minded, offering services at reduced prices or free.
My review will be repetitive to all the others but needs to be said. I cannot say enough about the dedicated and caring CEO, staff, and volunteers. Everyone has a genuine affection for the animals and their care. The facility is well maintained, clean, and sanitary. I love being a part of the "family."
Wickenburg is the cleanest Humane Society I've ever been in. Beautiful people running it, genuine caring folks. I love that it is a no-kill shelter. They do so much more than just run the foundation and building. Among their scope is they help regular families with problem animals so as to keep the pets in their homes. They will help feed pets in cases where incomes change, they help feral cat colonies and have put together a team of volunteers that go out and humanely trap, neuter and then release them back into their home areas. Everyone there is an animal lover. I feel proud to be associated with the Wickenburg Humane Society, privileged to be a volunteer. I can't imagine a more pleasing place to be. The events they organize are widely varied and fun for all. If you have not been, please go and find out what I have attested to-
I am new to the community and wanted to volunteer at a rescue. I found a wonderful one in Humane Society of Wickenburg. Although I’m a new volunteer, I can already tell it is a great facility with wonderful people. I am looking forward to many volunteer opportunities with them.
The Humane Society of Wickenburg is a Great organization! I was interested in volunteering because of the variety of ways in which I could help. The staff shows care and compassion for the animals and the adopters and volunteers.
As a volunteer at Wickenburg Humane Society (WHS), I have seen firsthand how dedicated they are to the well-being of animals and the community, which has truly made a difference.
The commitment and compassion demonstrated by WHS in their tireless efforts in rescuing and caring for animals in need, advocating for their rights, and promoting responsible pet ownership are commendable.
Through the programs and initiatives, WHS has not only saved countless lives but also inspired others to become more compassionate and involved in animal welfare. WHS impact extends far beyond the animals they directly help, reaching into the hearts of individuals and communities. WHS work embodies the true spirit of kindness and empathy and the positive influence on the community.
I am both a volunteer and a client served. We adopted our dog, Cassie almost 5 years ago from the Humane Society of Wickenburg and I have been a volunteer for about 3 years. It is a wonderful shelter and they work very hard with our community to provide excellent care for the animals in their care. They hold great fundraising events - everything from spay and neuter clinics to the Festival of Trees at Christmas. It is a wonderful place to volunteer
As a volunteer for the past three years at Wickenburg Humane Society, I have found all the staff and volunteers eager to help and willing to do whatever is needed in an effort to raise funds for the animals. Our local humane society is well-known in our town and respected by its community members. Fundraising events are supported by dedicated sponsors and the many volunteers here. The facility is top-notch in my opinion. Animals are treated with loving care and many adoptions take place, thanks to the hard work of staff and volunteer teams.
Humane society of Wickenburg is by far one of the best rescues.I have come across. I have volunteered for over thirteen different rescues in the past twenty years And only a few have deserved a five star review. This organization ticks all the boxes for me. It is clean. It is organized. The animals are extremely well taken care of. The communication between staff, volunteers and the public is clear and precise.
They should run workshops on how to run a successful rescue.
The Humane Society of Wickenburg is a stellar organization working to provide the best care possible for the animals in its care as well as looking for forever homes for them. Everyone who is associated with this organization is kind, compassionate and caring, and truly work hard to make a difference in the lives of homeless animals in Wickenburg and the surrounding towns.
My daughter adopted two black cats (brothers) several years ago, and they were the best, most lovable cats I have ever seen. They are still living the life with her today and are quite happy, thanks to the great start at HSW!
I have adopted two dogs from HSW and they are absolutely perfect dolls. We did a pre-adoption with our second one and it was nice knowing that we got the dog we knew would make a great addition to the family while they were making sure she was happy and healthy. We have done adoptions for all of our pets and have been so blessed to have such amazing animals to enrich our lives.
HSW also does such great work for our small community and continues to strive to find ways they can help others and make the shelter better. I truly appreciate that they offer different services and clinics throughout the year that help the citizens of Wickenburg and the surrounding communities. My family and I will continue to support HSW for years to come!
We have adopted several animals from the WHS. The animals are extremely well cared for and socialized. The kitty we got last immediately made friends with our other cats and dogs when we got him home. The staff is very knowledgeable and they to check in to see how the newly adopted animals are doing. I can only recommend them!
We adopted a cat that had been injured requiring the removal of his hind leg, he is an amazing cat. Thanks to HSW and donated funds that gave him chance at life. BB
I've always wanted to be able to "give back" to a community in a personal and meaningful way. As a life long animal owner of cats, dogs, turtles and horses, HSW was a perfect fit. The other volunteers and staff members are such kind and caring people who go out of their way every day to help local cats and dogs find their forever homes. The shelter itself is always clean and welcoming to visitors. HSW hosts many events throughout the year. As a Board member, I feel so grateful to contribute and encourage the support through our Community so HSW can continue to save lives for years to come.
I have adopted from the HSW for over 10 years. They have grown tremendously, not in size necessarily, but in professionalism, number of adoptions, and positivity! Their staff is fantastic and cares so much about the cause. I can only recommend them for adoptions, even if you have to drive from Phoenix, like so many adopters do.
We are lucky to have such a great local Humane Society servicing our community! Thanks for taking such great care of the animals in need in our community.
I've been a volunteer with the Humane Society of Wickenburg since 2014. It was one of the first things I did after moving to town. It's been a great way to get to know the community and, of course, time spent with cats is just one of the best ways to spend time. The organization is very supportive of and active in the community. I also have served on their Board of Directors since 2016. They are well and carefully managed to insure the welfare of the animals and to promote their mission of placing healthy, adoptable animals in loving homes.
I’ve both adopted from and volunteered at the Humane Society of Wickenburg. It’s an absolutely wonderful, caring organization. The animals are treated as family and taken care of so well that the adoptees make great pets. The animals are brought in as strays, surrenders, etc. from around the area. I don’t know what the animals would do without this organization to take care of them and find them loving homes. They not only provide adoption, but also help the community by supplementing pet food to households that need help, organizing spay-neuter clinics, a TNR program, pet fostering, and more. An extremely worthwhile nonprofit! Photo is Miss Kitty adopted from HSW in 2011.
We adopted this guy, Finn, from the Humane Society of Wickenburg last month. The staff was extremely helpful in matching us with a great family dog, who has obviously been well cared for. Finn is already becoming the heart of our family. He is awesome with kids and loving all of our adventures. A huge thank you to this awesome organization.
