Mission: A non profit organization to aid the scott county indiana animal shelter, to have an aggresive adoption program in order to decrease the number of animals euthanized, to release animals into the care of reputable rescue organizations, to educate the community on the importance of spay/neuter and promote pet ownwership responsiblity.
Programs: Adoption of or release to rescue groups, scott county shelter animals in lieu of being euthanized. In 2017 the organization cared for physicaly and medicaly, dogs at "foster homes" and cats at our cat adoption center. A total of 429 animal were adopted out or transported to rescue groups by the organization from scott county.
promote low cost spay/neuter within the community to decrease unwanted pet population. The organization in association with the st. Clair veternary clinic, scottsburg indiana. Promoted a low cost spay/neuter voucher program for the community. A total of 102 pet owners took advatage of this new program.
during 2017 the organization continued to use a 2016 air conditioned passenger van that it purchased in 2016 to transport large groups of animals from scott county to adoption fairs, and transport shelter animals from southern indiana shelters over long distances to various rescue groups. Over 1,438 pets made the trip to rescue groups which we work with and with out the transport, these animals could have been euthanized.
