I love this charity. Not enough people are aware of what it does:

They are on the ground fighting the horrific dog meat trade and protecting all animals facing extreme cruelty—but they need your help to continue our lifesaving work.

Along with helping dogs suffering on dog meat farms and protecting street dogs around the globe, your support also helps protect all animals—including those suffering in laboratories, on factory farms and those abused in the wild.

These people who are helping animals are truly angels.

Have been doing donations for a couple of months via credit card monthly as a supporting member, and once I started to donate to soi dog foundation and decided to stop donating to Humane Society International, they said they cannot find me in their system and cancel my further donations. Once you are in, it's hard to get out. I was said to provide them more information, once I have done that they asked me to call their US office which I refused to do as I'm in Spain and such an international call would mean wasting money which I would rather donate on animals. This clearly shows me how irresponsible the Human Society International employees are. :(

This more of an URGENT REQUEST than a story.

The YUlIN, CHINA MASSACRE is happening in JUNE, and I have seen VERY FEW PETITiONS AND REQUESTS FOR DONATIONS--ONLY THE HUMANE SOCIETY INTERNATIONAL AND A FEW OTHER ORGANIZATIONS HAVE NOTICEABLY VISIBLE ADS! I know there are many others, but it seems like their incredible hard work often appears to be A CAREFULLY KEPT SECRET!

ARE WE GIVING UP ON THE THOUSANDS OF DOGS AND CATS THAT ARE ABOUT TO BE BRUTALLY TORTURED AND SLAUGHTERED IN JUNE FOR MEAT???!!!

Several of the former heroes have been CRITiCIZED and HUMILiATED! SO NOW WHO IS TRYING TO SAVE THE INNOCENT DEFENSELESS DOGS AND CATS?!

The petitions and requests for donations SHOULD HAVE BEGUN A YEAR AGO!

Also, PLEASE be aware that MILLIONS of "would be" supporters are NOT ON FACEBOOK, and you MUST ALSO REACH THEM!

In conclusion, thank you HSI and the others for continuing to be the heroes and champions FOR THOSE THAT HAVE NO VOICE!

OTHERWISE, SOON WE WILL HAVE 10,000 FEWER CATS AND DOGS--NOT TO MENTION THE BILLiONS THAT ARE SLAUGHTERED ALL YEAR ROUND!

WITHOUT "WORLDWIDE" SUPPORT THEY HAVE NO HOPE BECAUSE IF WE DON'T HELP THEM, WHO WILL?!

My DEEPEST THANKS to all of you who care and support our innocent defenseless animals!

I spent a memorable unforgettable 3 weeks volunteering with Soi-dog Foundation in Phuket, Thailand. On arrival I couldn't wait to get involved. On entering the volunteer room I immediately found myself in this welcoming, friendly and caring environment. I didn't have to wait long before becoming involved. I was assigned to the "AOP's area or "run". All the dogs are assigned to different "runs". The AOP run also housed some younger and more vulnerable dogs. To be housed with the older dogs is generally a quieter less boisterous and less scary experience for new and younger dogs.

I arrived at Soi-dog hoping to fall in love with and adopt one of the dogs. It didn't take long for me to absolutely fall in love with a young totally blind dog. We gelled. Right from the start we walked twice a day with the dog on the lead on a lovely grassy area close to the run. She grew in confidence day by day and began to enjoy going outside, getting to know the immediate surroundings and route we took. On entering the run every day and hearing my voice she immediately waited for me to go to her. She happily placed her paws on my arm and so started another beautiful day. Sadly, due to my age and not yet having a clear
backup action plan for the future, when my 3 weeks was up we had to say a final "goodbye".

Soi-dog are extremely well organised - a lot of effort and time is spent by the teams to cover and organise the running of all the absolutely amazing work Soi-dog achieve. The dog/animal world is enriched every day of the week, month, years by their hard and continuous work. One change I would like to see, is clearer adoption clarification. Had it covered all areas including maximum age limit, I would not have put so much hope in being able/allowed to adopt a soi-dog.

Is bad when you donate money for nothing, HSI don't care about animals but about money.

It's nice to see the Charity Navigator rating for HSI has increased to 3. HSI works hard to make changes in the world against unbelievable odds because the people in so many of the areas where they work don't see animals as worthy of anything, much less humane treatment. Yet, HSI is making a dent with their incredible perseverance, and I think the organization will continue to evolve as people around the world become more aware (at least in part through HSI's efforts) that some practices, now accepted as the norm, are obscenely inhumane.
