Mission: To provide essential services that improve health, reduce isolation, and promote independent living for seniors in our community. MOWSOFLO strives to end hunger across all ages with kindness, dignity and compassion.
Results: Meals on Wheels South Florida is funded through the State of Florida’s Department of Elder Affairs, The Jim Moran Foundation and the Aging and Disability Resource Center of Broward County, with funds made available by the Federal Older American’s Act, Fair Share dollars and Private Donations.
Target demographics: Meals on Wheels South Florida provides nutritious meals and safety checks to seniors over the age of 60.
Direct beneficiaries per year: Meals on Wheels South Florida serves more than 10,000 seniors and 5,000 children an estimated 1.5 million meals each year

Programs: Meals on Wheels South Florida provides home-delivered meals, congregate dining, emergency meals, grocery shopping assistance, nutrition education, meals for companion pets, and more to seniors over the age of 60. They also are a sponsor of the Summer Break Spot Program, which provides nutritious meals to children during the summer months while they are out of school.
