Human Connexus provides a direct connection between donors and families who are in need. I recently attended a function supporting a local couple who were having a financial hardship and raising a child with a unique medical condition. It was as rewarding as it was effective! I am happy to support the good work of Human Connexus!

Human Connexus Foundation is focused upon helping others who truly need it. Our family was referred to the organization by a health practitioner for our son. We had been struggling with debt incurred due to our son's medical condition. The help that they provided to us allowed us to sit back and relax for a brief moment, something that doesn't ever happen when living paycheck to paycheck. Once we were able to collect ourselves, we have been able to focus on finding better jobs and improving our financial situation. They are a part of our family and we could not be more grateful. We are REALLY looking forward to the time that WE will be able to give back to others through Human Connexus. They are life changers, and without them, I'm not sure what our lives would look like.

This organization has a huge heart. There are many volunteers who work together to help families in crisis. You will know exactly who you are supporting and in what way. It can be money to pay the rent, gas money to drive back and forth to visit their child in the hospital, food for the table, etc.. So many of the big non profits have huge chunks for money that go to pay for administration costs, which may be necessary, but it is amazing to have a fund you can donate to and know exactly where your dollars are going!

This is a very good nonprofit because every bit of the money donated go to to the needy.
Far to often a very large portion of the donations go to administrating, etc.

I am eternally grateful for Human Connexus Foundation, for helping us out, when we really needed it. Jesse is my son, he was born with many medical issues, kidney failure, to be one of the ailments. He has had 2 kidney transplants in his lifetime. Thank God that the second one is doing great. There are a lot of issues with transplants. But one in particular was that he came about with a virus that needed hospitalization. He was in and out of the hospital for 2 to 3 months, and that's where our financial problems started. And that's when this wonderful organization came to the rescue! Thank you so much, Cindy Campbell , Human Connexus staff, for the generous financial help. May God continue to bless each and every one of you. From Sebastian, Griselda and Jesse...

I have been involved as a contributor to HCF since it's inception. Cindy Campbell, the founder, has steadily grown the initiative and refined the mission over the years, with much in store to come. The line of sight on where your donation dollars go - directly helping people's financial obligations when confronted with a challenge to someone's health in the family, is unprecedented. The impact your money is having is always on display at the fund raising events as the people who we are helping come and provide testimonials to the group. This is a great non-profit.

My daughter was diagnosed with right mandible Fibrosarcoma in 2004, 2007, 2012 and papillary thyroid cancer In 2013 she been on eradication treatment off an on for the past 12 yrs and been hard on us financially more the year due to loss of wages and me not working for the past 2 months providing care for my daughter after her surgery. Humman Connexus has help us with 2,000 which went toward our mortgage and electricity payment. Which we are very great full for this help. Unfortunately we are not back on our feet as of yet, I whish if at all possible Humman Connexus could help out more, I understand we are out of the area and know they went out of their way to help us. Things sometimes don't go as planned I did not get paid for my FMLA during the time I was not working and taking care of my daughter I didn't qualify because I was off last year as well and it's 12 month period time. But then again we have to prioritize family as well first and eventually everything will be in place. I can just hope that they can help us out for a few more months. And once we are back in track financially I would give donations to this organization to help out families like ourselves in the future. Once again thank you Humman Connexus and God bless you all.

Human Connexus seeks to help families whose lives have been turned upside down byan unforeseen medical issue or accident. Cindy Campbell, the founder, works to identify individuals and families whose immediate lives could be made a little easier by the removal of some of the financial burdens they face. Cindy's compassion runs throughout this small but mighty organization -- positively impacting individuals who need it most -- one person at a time.

My 9 year old daughter was diagnosed with bone cancer in August of 2013, it was the most devastating news any family could have ever received. The bills for treatment and bills to just get by were piling up. I had to keep working but I was missing so much time, Human Connexus reached out to me and just offered a helping hand. I lost my daughter in August 2014 and through the whole process Cindy and Human Connexus was not just a help financially but as a friend. I cannot thank them enough for all the support.

My 18 month old son was infected with E.Coli a year ago. He was hospitalized for four months, surgery after surgery, and on dialysis, in hopes of saving his life. Commuting from over 200 miles away to the hospital, pregnant, and trying to care for his 4 year-old sister, our finances quickly became a disaster. The Human Connexus Foundation was the only organization willing to help us make our mortgage during the hospital stay. This provided great relief to what seemed an insurmountable trial. We would have lost our home during a time when there was nothing stable in our lives. Now we are home, back on track financially, and in a position to be able to give back to others. Our son's life is a miracle and he is doing great. Thank you Human Connexus!

My daughter, Cheyenne, was born with a group of abnormaitlies all on her right side of her body, including a narrow air way in her trachea and three holes in her heart. She will be 9 months tomorrow and since then she has had two major surgeries. At three months old she had her Tracheal Reconstruction and at six months old she had her open heart surgery. Both were a success and she's recovered stronger than ever. She will return back for numerous surgeries in the future.

During this long journey, Children's Hospital in Oakland referred us to Human Connexus when I was having financial difficulties and couldn't return to work. And let me just say, Cindy Campbell and the rest of the board members are phenomenal people who have helped us so much! We are truly thankful to have met each and every one of them. They have helped paid for bills for the last 4 months and was able to generously increase the amount for the last 2 months with them! They are truly a blessing and one of the answers to our prayers. My family and I pray for the Human Connexus Foundation to continue the work that they do to help other families in need. We can't thank you enough! God Bless each and everyone one of them.

I've had the miss-fortune to be diagnosed w/Mutiple Myeloma a Bone Marrow Cancer that required a Bone Marrow Transplant & continued Chemo Therapy Forever, or until I loss the battle (hopefully not soon); during this most difficult time in my life I've been blessed to have incredible people step in and help me when everything in my life was crumbling.
Cindy Campbell the creator Human Connexus has been an Angel sent from heaven along with her Incredible Organization.
Being a divorced mother of 2 boys, sick, unable to work, no where to turn, along came help from this local charity to try and bridge a gap in my ability to pay bills, buy groceries, get out of bed.
I remember first meeting Cindy Campbell for a cup of coffee, at this point in my trying to recover from my transplant I could barely get up and out of a chair; I was at such a low point in my life that the cup of coffee she bought me was an incredible gift that I was already in tears to be receiving, Cindy (Human Connexus) didn't stop with the purchase of a cup of coffee, her organization helped me financially for several months in an attempt to help me threw the 1st part of this long journey. One problem with a non-curable illness is people don't know how to help forever so they wont even try, not Cindy; she rolled up her sleeves and got right to work helping me threw what would be the battle of my life & the life of my children.
I'm so grateful to God and my Social Worker Meg Cornish for bringing this incredible group of volunteers into my life, without them I wouldn't be here today still fighting the fight of Cancer.
Thank you Cindy, Human Connexus and all the Volunteers who opened their arms & hearts to help a stranger & her children. Words can never describe such a gift, so I will just give a humble " Thank you", thank you for not giving up on me when I was so close to giving up on myself.

"Thank you and God Bless"

What attracted me to volunteer and eventually serve on the board for Human Connexus is the opportunity to directly make an impact for our recipients. I have personally seen first hand the result of what this organization has been able to do for many of the recipients. All of them are dealing with a medical crisis which in itself is devastating, but Human Connexus helps to ease the burden by providing financial support when they need it the most. The compassion and dedication that is demonstrated by the founder, Cindy Campbell, is nothing less than amazing. I am excited to be a part of Human Connexus and will continue to support and aide in it's growth to be able to help many more families in their time of need.

I have been involved with Human Connexus from the early days. This organization has touched the lives of many families and individuals. Many families, most with children diagnosed with cases of rare illnesses, are depending on the support from HCF. Thankfully, our list of donors is growing, allowing more families in need to be covered by this organization.
It is a privilege to serve on the board of this wonderful organization.

Human Connexus has consistently shown how the power of compassion and heart can overcome the most intense , devastating circumstances. With Cindy Campbell as it's leader and driving force, they have helped so many people at a critical time- that small window of opportunity for these patients to get the medical help they need before it's too late. I am blessed to know Cindy and her Foundation and am confident they will continue to touch lives and make a difference for many years to come.

Our daughter, Annabella (Bella), has a life-threatening disease called Idiopathic Pulmonary Hemosiderosis. Her hospital, Lucile Packard Children's Hospital at Stanford, referred us to Human Connexus when we were having financial difficulty. They generously paid a substantial portion towards our rent for 6 months! What a blessing!

Cindy Campbell and her board members are genuine angels on Earth! They are so compassionate and humble about the work they do for us. I pray that Human Connexus may continue to be able to share their mission with those that are in need. They truly are a godsend!

Human Connexus is a remarkable foundation. Founder Cindy Campbell has taken a personal vision and with the support of her benevolent Board seeks to promote the welfare of others during medical financial crisis. Human Connexus has relationships with Ronald McDonald house, Lucile Packards Children Hospital, Oakland Children's hospital and many other philanthropic organizations with the purpose of being connected to recipients. Human Connexus foundation puts you in direct contact with recipients at fundraisers which puts that personal touch and emotional experience together for optimal impact. How 100% of your donation has, will, or is helping recipients is a key focus. I have personally found this approach to be more rewarding for recipients and donors. Words can not express how exceptional this Foundation is within and outside our community. I will continue to give my earnest support to Human Connexus.

Cindy Campbell and the board members of the Human Connexus Foundation (HCF) are a truly exceptional group whose commitment to philanthropic work, on almost an entirely volunteer basis, undoubtedly lives up to their esteemed Jefferson Award and the myriad positive comments posted on this site. As the name suggests, Human Connexus Foundation values the connections between its donors and recipients in a manor unique to non-profits by providing an incredible platform and host of services that allow their recipients to share their story and directly connect with individuals who wish to lend a hand. In this regard, HCF fulfills its mission of connecting people with needs to people with means. What is perhaps most impressive about this organization, and truly inspiring and gratifying to see, is not just the incredible work they do providing financial relief to the families of the sick and injured but their unwavering effort to personally support their recipients. Not only have they helped over 30 families keep their head above water during a medical crisis, they have been the needed shoulder to cry on, the encouraging friend who emboldens and strengthens moral and the patient confidant who is always there to listen. Cindy has even opened the doors of her own home to serve Christmas dinner and unwrap gifts-with a relocated family that was living in a hotel room in order to support and be near their son in the ICU. Perhaps what makes Cindy Campbell and the rest of the Human Connnexus team so unique amongst non-profits and so effective at what they do is their ability to recognize themselves in those who need help, and know, but for a few accidents or an unforeseen medical illness, it could easily be them.

Human Connexus helped us in a time of great need. After dealing with my sudden traumatic diagnosis of an immune disorder which led to me having a bone marrow transplant, my husband and I were faced with moving out of our home because of not being able to pay rent. Their mission of helping people deal with the financial burden of health challenges is an essential one, and we were so fortunate to find and receive aid from them at just the right time.

Since meeting Cindy, the founder and Human Connexus, I have come to appreciate what can be done on a shoe string. HCF operates on a mere 12% of the donations made and still gets important work done and makes a great impact on those who are in financial need. Cindy makes sure that we can help our recipients in ways that are meaningful to them. The small grants that are given go to living expenses, such as rent, car payments, gas money, utility bills etc. This is just the life line that the ciients need while they are dealing with major health issues or while dying.
The work this foundation does gives a great deal of satisfaction to know that these people don't have to worry about being put out on the street or have enough gas money to get back and forth to the hospital while dealing with a life changing health crisis. To date the foundation has helped 35 families keep their heads above water while dealing with difficult medical issues.

This "grass roots" non-profit organization is by far one of the most inspiring and worthy that I have ever encountered. It helps those who have been struck with financial hardships while dealing with a medical situation in their life. I have personally have had medical situations happen to me and if it weren't for my blessings I would definitely be in need of these types of services. Although, I do not personally require this type of financial assistance, my family and I do our best in volunteering and donating to this very worthy cause. It's just wonderful to know that there are non-profits "out there," that care and help people in such a selfless way!

Human Connexus is a wonderful small non profit run out of San Jose CA. Human Connexus helps people who have been hit with an unexpected financial burden due to a medical or health issue. Human Connexus helps families be able to afford to get treatment or take care of a loved one who is struggling with health issues. Often times these are people with ill children or single moms who find themselves sick and unable to work. Human Connexus is unique. Donors often know exactly who they are helping and how. Cindy Campbell, the director and founder, does a great job of highlighting recipients and their needs so donors can fell connected.
