HPV & ME is a vital organization that informs, educates, and generally gets the word out about HPV. Without HPV & ME we would not have known how necessary the vaccine is. They impowered us with information to motivate our loved ones to get vaccinated... possibly / probably saving lives.
Family is everything - and truth seems so hard to come by - as a dad and grandfather I am grateful that Pam and her team at HPVandME provide such useful, insightful and accurate updates on this evolving science - we are hopeful that 2025 will see a continuation of advancement in this field - this is why we support HPVandME and sound the bell for others to join the movement
As a dentist, I really appreciate all the work Hpvandme does. Prevention is the key and education is the path. Thanks for spreading the word!
HPVandMe fills an important need to integrate evidence based information with personal experience and stories to work toward cancer prevention and care. The organization is brilliant in its willingness to address hard questions and meet the needs of real people at once. HPVandMe, and Pamela Tom at its lead, represents the very best in health advocacy.
Hpvandme is awesome. They are so educated and on top of the most important and newest data. They are lovely to work with and are extremely thorough. They have been a great resource for many and in turn, saving lives.
Our story began with a sore throat that just wouldn't go away. My husband probably waited longer than he should have to check it out. His first diagnosis in the spring of 2013 was "acid reflux." The attending ENT did not even give him a scope of his throat, prescribed medication,
and told him to return in four months. We decided to see a different specialist early in the fall and were given some devastating news: Stage Four base of tongue squamous cell carcinoma. Later it was confirmed that it was HPV 16. In 2013 this diagnosis came as a 2 x 4 across our foreheads. Throat cancer? But you never smoked!
One of the first places I was able to find some answers, as well as support, was at HPVANDME. This work is so valuable and necessary for those working through the diagnosis, and for helping to educate young and old alike on the necessity of getting the vaccine. We are now a decade out from that first diagnosis. My husband had a recurrence in 2020 and needed complete surgery to remove all cancerous tissue with margins that included the removal of his vocal cords. This was extremely devastating as he is a trained broadcaster. But, he is alive today. His doctor says, "I have no other patient." Meaning, I have no other patient with the diagnoses that you received who has survived as long as you. There is hope with this diagnosis, but we must educate the masses about the rising incidence, and vaccinate our next generation.

I have worked with HPVandme for 5 years as a survivor of HPV related cancer through speaking, presentations and videos to a wide variety of audiences. I love this nonprofit because of why it was founded, the spotlight it places on the 6 deadly cancers that can develop from this common virus, and the vaccine available for our youth to hopefully eradicate this cancer from future generations. HPVandme is a leading voice in our community’s fight for others and I will always be available to it and it’s leader Pamela to try to help make a difference.
Very grateful we have a resource like HPVandMe to help educate the masses on the importance of the HPV vaccine to protect us from future cancers.
I met Pamela over 10 years ago and have witnessed this nonprofit grow over the past decade. She is very meticulous in her writing to make sure the information is accurate. The website has been very helpful to several of my head and neck cancer patients. Thank you Pamela for your outreach and helping cancer patients.

Great nonprofit - they helped me make an informed decision about getting the vaccine and I appreciate all of their credible resources.
Invaluable resource to help educate the population the importance of the HPV vaccine to protect our future generations. Thank you for all your hard work.
Although I have not personally been afflicted by the ravages of this virus, I know people that have, and it can be devastating. If you find yourself or know of someone facing the challenges of HPV, I wholeheartedly recommend reaching out to HPVANDME. It's not just an organization; it's a lifeline that has the power to change your perspective, empower you with knowledge, and connect you with a community that understands and cares.
HPVANDME has been doing terrific work in the area of HPV for years, and their work compliments ours in the area as well. Their focus on throat cancer, which is caused by HPV, is vitally important since the incidence of throat cancer now outpaces the incidence of cervical cancer, which is also caused by HPV. As most throat cancers occur in males, our own focus on that group makes their work even more important to us..
A family member had HPV cancer, and HPVANDME was the only site where I found helpful information. Pamela is a former journalist so I trust her research and reporting. I strongly recommend this nonprofit to anyone interested in learning more about HPV and HPV cancer.
I have two male friends who are doing what they need to for survival after their diagnosis. Hopefully new research will provide success. Their HPV cancer was found out before I began a dating relationship with them. As a female who is cautious regarding encounters, I remain friends with the two gentlemen to give them encouragement, and someone to socialize with during this difficult time.
