The Houston Civic Symphony fulfills many needs: 1) The public's access to free professional quality symphonic and chamber music in a community location 2) An opportunity for young soloist musicians to compete and perform with the symphony and 3) For capable musicians to continue playing under a talented conductor. As a flutist for many years I can perform sonatas anytime but without the companionship of a full orchestra with talented members we could not recreate and enjoy the works of genius composers such as Beethoven, Mozart, Bach, Wagner, Brahms, Tchaikovsky and Stravinsky to name a few. Remember, you the audience are one of the most important elements, without you, it is just another rehearsal. Thank you and see you at the next concert. www.CivicSymphony.org

The Houston Civic Symphony Orchestra offers free concerts to the public. I've been to 4 of them and plan to go to many more. The musicians are very talented and put on a great show. I tell all my friends about the concerts. It is also a great opportunity for families to hear great music for free. They educate the audience about the music. The youth solo production is amazing.
