When I first drove up to the 1940 Air Terminal Museum I felt like I was on a movie set. Such an elegant building of an era past. Inside I found myself in a world where the feats of engineering were explained through the history of aviation as well as the heroic efforts of those who first flew out of what was to become the first passenger airport in Houston. The museum offers monthly events for the community to visit aircraft and vintage cars outside its own collections. Book signings, movies and associated clubs all provide additional access to learning about aviation and culture. The beautifully restored building itself provides a venue for public and private meetings and celebrations.
