House of Hope Portland is making great changes in the lives of teenagers here in the NW. Teens who feel desperate and are hurting them selves and their love ones by there actions are being taught how to love themselves and see the hope in the future. I became aware of House of Hope from a Women of Faith Conference and have been supporting them with prayer ever since. They do so much with with so little money it's incredible! Teens are schooled and trained with life skills as well as learn about the loving gift of God's Grace.

Mission: House of Hope Portland is dedicated to the healing and restoration of families in the greater Portland area. The heart of our vision is the restoration of teens and their families through the power of Christ allowing God to heal the physical, spiritual, and emotional needs of the family. We base our program on biblical principles and provide Christ centered counseling for teens and parents. We provide teens ages 13 - 17 a Christ centered refuge from the pressures of today''s culture. Through Christian counseling, education, and spiritual guidance administered in a loving, home-style environment, efforts are made to heal the hurts of the teen, as well as their family and, where possible, affect family reconciliation. The ultimate goal is to prepare troubled teenagers to become productive members of society.
Results: To date we have worked with eight families. Our first young lady is now enroled in a Christian college.
