In 2019 I lost my dog unexpectedly and was devastated. Someone suggested I foster dogs which I did with HOH. One of my fosters was a yellow lab that seemed to have no aggression and was scheduled to be adopted by a family with young children. My 20 year old came home for spring break and Billie would not allow him to come near me. I called Patti (HOH founder) she immediately took him back and paid for a trainer to come assess him. Thankfully he was not aggressive just needed some training. I took Billie back and the trainer worked with us to get Billie comfortable with my son. Turns out Billie became a part of our family and I am incredibly thankful to Patti and HOH for taking the time and money to invest in Billie.
HOH is an amazing rescue. They give a dog every chance, at whatever expense, to be saved and adopted. Two years later I adopted a 2nd dog from them. Wonderful volunteers who are dedicated to saving dogs.

I loved adopting from House of Hope so much that I started volunteering for them! They move heaven and earth for their dogs and anyone who is lucky enough to adopt from them will have a House of Hope family for life!

If your are looking for hope skip this rescue. They agreed to take my Father's Labrador after he broke his hip and could no longer care for the dog. After the dog had been boarded for a week and then got fixed, we dropped him off at house of hope on a Friday at 1pm. Saturday morning we got a call to come pick him up because of his separation anxiety. We scrambled to find a place for the dog and found a place that could take him on Sunday. That was not good enough Patti demanded he be picked up from her rescue by 2pm. Don't trust this rescue.
