I came to HOHC during a very rough time in my pregnancy. I felt hopeless and had no idea how I was going to provide for my child. After moving in, I was surrounded with so much love and support, it started to give me hope I thought was so far gone. I was able to enjoy the final few months of my pregnancy and prepare for my new life as a mom. Nothing excited me more. My daughter came and I was given so much valuable advice that helped me be the best mom I could be. Besides, it was my first child and I had no idea what I was doing but the amount of patience and grace they showed me was immeasurable. My daughter was able to grow up in a loving home full of people who truly cared about our well being. HOHC house parents and director, Michelle helped me get a car, encouraged me to pursue my career in behavioral health, and assisted me into getting an affordable apartment for me and my daughter and most importantly, was able to recommit my life to Christ during my stay here . I made valuable friendships and relationships that will last a lifetime and I will never forget the opportunity to be a resident here. I am still connected to the house parents and director and consider them my family❤️ if I can recommend any mother in crisis, I would direct them towards this home. 100%
After leaving a not so good relationship I bounced around for a while in shelters/family members. Being at HOHC helped me find stability. Without HOHC my son and I would not be in a stable loving environment.
HOHC changed our lives.
I currently live at HOHC. They gave me a chance to rebuild my life and have helped me along the way. I had a really rough time with my pregnancy and giving birth to my son was really really rough. However the house parents and director stuck along with me and helped me through it all. I am beyond grateful for all theyve done for me. I have also made so many amazing memories with them.
I have had the privilege to work alongside the directors of this wonderful organization. It is not only a place that provides physical support during the hard seasons of pregnancy and postpartum to women, but also a place to heal, find hope, and build for a stronger future.
Good organization doing a good work. I feel honored to be a member of the board and help out in such a small way, the house parents and other staff that do the real work are amazing! I am always astounded at their dedication.
House of His Creation is an amazing organization and a great place to work. I have had the privilege of working there for the past nine years. What makes it an amazing place to work is that family truly is what it is all about. Any woman who come through the doors of House of his Creation is considered family. Many of our clients are coming out of traumatic situations and need a real opportunity to really look at their life and the situations they are in to help evaluate how to move forward in a positive direction. Together with the staff, wonderful volunteers, and the grace of God, we offer a great service for women in need... a place to heal, grow , and to learn.
Our family has been part of the ministry for 16 years. We continue to have relationship with past staff and clients alike. Family is first and the gift of doing life with others is priceless. We are here to create a safe place to heal, to grow and to learn.
The staff at House of His Creation are amazing. They love people and help so many moms in need. It is a safe place for women to recover from destructive relationships because they foster healthy relationships. They value each person highly.
I'm writing in response to the previous review from March. I'm unsure why she would have expected to get help with an abortion from a LIFE AFFIRMING organization. That is illogical and confusing for me. As far as the House Parents being great but the staff being terrible...There are only 4 employees, the Directors are also the House Parents.
Now the statement that the staff would be trafficking and abusing the women. THAT IS A HORRIBLE REMARK! Its hurtful and it is an absolute lie. HOHC has been helping women in need since the early 70's and for someone to make a careless remark about one of the MOST horrific acts know to mankind is HORRIBLE... please think of the damage a lie like that can do to a woman that was considering HOHC.
I am surprised to see this on a nonprofit page.
A woman trying to escape human trafficking and years of sexual exploitation and extreme poverty, a victim of stalking, abuse, druggings, poisonings, and many rapes for years, ended up pregnant. It didn't stop when she was pregnant. She was not allowed to get an abortion. She thought HOHC would save her.
There are houseparents who care for women and children. They are great, generous people.
There are paid staff members who are not. They participated in stalking and abusing the woman. They are participants in the human trafficking, sexual exploitation and abuse of the woman, including destruction and control of her life to an extent that's severely unhealthy to her and her baby.
This is abuse under the disguise of Christianity. These are not lies to hurt this organization. This is true, spoken out of desperation to actually save this woman, and for her to get back her rights as a human being that she hasn't had in so long.
The House of His Creation is an amazing organization. They were there for me as a young mother unsure of what to do in a lonely and hopeless situation. They provided me a home, though I was a stranger. They fed and clothed me, they taught me how to care for myself and my child when in many ways I was still a child myself. They were a saving grace for this lost soul and my family will forever be grateful for this ministry.

I had the privilege if getting to know 2 of house parents, they are the most caring people you could meet! There desire to help these girls is inspiring, there is such a need for good role models to walk beside people thru challenging times!
It is amazing how HOHC devotes everything to helping the ladies who live in the home! The house parents left and the Executive Director moved his family into the house so the ladies weren't homeless! All within a couple of weeks! They are truely dedicated to showing the love of God to women and families who may have never felt that love before!
House of His Creation is wonderful and authentic home for young women during pregnancy as well as young mothers and children. The staff are extremely dedicated and faithful in their service. I am confident in the leaders commitment to the mission of HOHC and to the success of this non profit organization.
HOHC has a heartfelt, genuine outreach to pregnant young women who are faced with heartwrenching dilemmas of choosing between abortion and birth. The staff is kind, practical, and resourceful, and provides the women with education, counseling, child-rearing preparation, and concrete solutions.
It is one thing to proclaim loudly that you are pro-life, and another to give unfettered encouragement, time and resources to those women in desperate situations. HOHC does this and more, all in a loving, encouraging environment.
I was 15 years old, pregnant, and Roe V. Wade had just become the law of the land. My mother suggested that she learned of a doctor through a friend who could fix me. Even though I was an incorrigible, selfish teenager I knew that abortion was killing an innocent baby and would not think about it. Through Catholic Social Services we came to House of His Creation, and the staff helped me to walk through this very difficult time of my life. During my year there I learned what it meant to have a real relationship with God through His Son, and for the first time in my life I prayed an unselfish prayer-what would be the best decision for my precious child, and had peace knowing it was placing her in a loving two parent home. That was 39 years ago and I have been able to stay in touch with the House, was privileged to serve on the board for a number of years, and continue to support them financially and in other ways to this day.
House of His Creation has been one of God's greatest blessings in my life! It was Easter Sunday 1995, when I stood on the doorstep of their big farm house...I had no idea that God would use this ministry to resurrect me! It was truly a safe haven for me to heal and to grow! There are so many things from parenting & cooking classes to Bible study that I could share about, but what most impacted me would have to be the model of a Christian home! Being exposed to a couple who lived out the gospel in their marriage made me desire that myself. All these years later I am still blessed by House of His Creation as my 12+ year marriage thrives! Today, if you look at our life, marriage and 4 beautiful children, you would have a difficult time believing I was that 15 year old girl standing on the doorstep. God truly is GOOD and He used House of His Creation to bring hope and healing to my heart.
I am beyond blessed! 18 years later to be able to look into the face of my son whom I couldn't image life without! House of His Creation not only impacted my life but my legacy as well!
Sincerely, Janet Pearson & family

HOHC is properly named as they work very hard to do everything in HIS (God's) plan. They are a ministry that lives their faith. They demonstrate what it means to be obedient and trust in GOD on a daily basis. It has been great walking with them and witnessing the blessing from GOD upon this ministry. God has rewarded them not necessarily in size, or in finances, but in the greatest of rewards to witness the new creation that God is making out of the clients of the ministry, that reward is at the center of all that this ministry does...to change lives for GOD's purpose. Praise God for HOHC
I was young and alone. A victim of domestic violence. It was January 1997 when my Dad found HOHC. He placed me there to get the much needed help that he didn't know how to give me. I was shown the love of Jesus Christ in many ways. I received counseling to begin healing from the pain of the abuse I suffered. I also received schooling to finish high school and graduated with my GED. I had a Lamaze class and learned parenting, cooking and housekeeping skills that prepared me for motherhood. The option was also made available for me choose adoption for my child. I am forever grateful for the love and caring help I got there at the house all those years ago, it changed the course of my life forever! What they do is of vital importance in the lives of the women, children and families they serve.
I now serve as Vice President of the board of directors for the House of His Creation. The reason I do is because I truly believe in what they are doing as part of the pro-life and sanctity of life movement. I firmly believe that future families and generations are touched and strengthened by the impact this ministry is having and it is imperative that we continue to do this work for the kingdom of Christ.
As a pastor in the community served by HOHC, I want to share how blessed we are to have HOHC in our own back yard. Their work effects the lives of women and children who typically fall through the cracks. God is using HOHC to transform the lives of some of the most vulnerable in our community. I am especially excited to see more and more lives effected as they are expanding their services to touch more lives.
My name is Jennifer Del Rio and I was served at House of His Creation when I was 15 years old. My daughter was maybe...a year and a half. HOHC taught me what it should be like in a home. What a stable house hold should look like. They taught me how to manage money, how to cook, how to disipline and so much more But the most important of it all. I learned to have a relationship with the Lord. I'm beyond grateful for the beautiful experience I had. I am now 20 years old. My daughter is now 5 years old. I also have a son who will be 9 months. And I am married... and raising my children to know the Lord. All Thanks to HOHC and It's staff. In my household I have been able to apply everything I have learned at HOHC. How to cook, how to be organized, how to manage money and so forth. :) It definitely has made an impact on my life. I could go on forever
The impact this organization has on the clients it serves is life changing. The house parents set a beautiful example of a healthy family, they teach the girls life skills, engage them in positive activities, support them in making sound decisions to set them on a path towards a productive and positive life for them and their children. There are many stories of former clients that have come back to help out and volunteer their time to assist others who are now in a situation they once were. I believe this speaks for itself of the compassion shown and instilled in these young girls.
House of His Creation is a wonderful ministry that helps young women grow and become more independent and confident in their parenting. They do this in many ways; some examples are helping the women realize their true potential and breaking off old mind-sets that can hinder new growth in many areas of their lives. The houseparents set a wonderful example of how a structured and organized household should run; giving them clear boundaries and expectations. Then there are all the other staff members and volunteers that show the women and their children unconditional love, friendship, and kindness. I have never seen such wonderful and compassionate people as those who work for and volunteer with House of His Creation.
House of His Creation is a real, well-rounded, life-line to those finding themselves in a very tough situation. They walk beside the women throughout their journey, teach them how to be independent, how to be a loving parent all while learning a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. The men and women involved in this program emulate the love of Christ to each and every woman and child.
I have had the privilege of watching House of His Creation grow & change with the needs of the young women & children that it serves. The Directors, who began as houseparents, have a very hands on, personal approach in the ministry. They and the other staff truly have a heart to serve. Supporting these young women, coming alongside them & teaching them how to make mature, healthy life choices, as well as showing them the love of Jesus is more than just a job to them. It is truly a life calling. As a donor I have had the opportunity on numerous occasions to meet some of the young women & their children that are served by House of His Creation. While the path is not easy for them and they may continue to struggle along the way, it is so clear that they been given something they didn't have before...a hope and a future.
The women and children served by House of His Creation are taught who they are in Christ. They are given an example through houseparents of what a mom and dad should look like. These girls are given a chance to become more than they expect from themselves and are challenged to grow as mothers. The children are loved on by staff and volunteers.
