Robert R. Client Served

Rating: 5

06/15/2011

I'm Robert's wife Kate.

Four months after I married the love of my life, my husband, Robert suffered from an aortic dissection (at the age of 35).
Our world would forever be changed.
Robert went through several operations at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, KY to save his life from the initial event; as well as, further complications.
By late summer that year - he was still in the hospital with unresolved issues, which could only be solved by more surgery.
With the blessings and encouragement from our medical "family" - we sought out the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio for treatment options.
Where was I going to stay while Robert was in ICU? We had little funds and knew no one in Cleveland.
Our hometown church, Centenary Methodist, (where Robert and I were married) contacted the Methodist church in Cleveland.
Within days of arriving at the Cleveland Clinic, I was connected with Hospitality Homes of Cleveland, which offered low cost accomodations.
