Mission: The mission of suncoast hospice institute is to influence the way individuals and communities care for each other near life's end by being the premier hospice and palliative care center of excellence for practice-based innovation, education and research knowledge. (see schedule o).
Programs: Suncoast hospice institute offers a dynamic learning system encompassing a full range of practice-based, learner-focused materials to promote critical thinking for clinical staff, nonclinical staff and volunteers. Its online education and training tools include an interactive curriculum based on adult learning principles and self-paced e-learning courses, which cover every aspect of care from clinical skills to best practices to compliance training. Unlike other learning management systems, the suncoast hospice institute learn center accommodates instructor-led training and is backed by a vast resource library of job aides, education sheets and other resources covering all aspects of palliative and end-of-life care for patients and their families.
