Mission: Horizon Homes was founded in 1970 by Dr. Walter Jacob to devote collective efforts to creatively implement and constantly improve an array of individualized supports driven by the desire of persons with mental retardation and their families.
Programs: HHI addresses the need for supporting individuals in the community who have mental retardation. HHI provides 86 individuals with the level of support and care required to live within the community ($3,200,000). HHI also provides 80 individuals with 2 weeks of social recreational opportunities, also giving families a respite from care ($75,000). One of HHIs recent accomplishments was the significant expansion of services.
