I am homeless , we are not Hopeless :)
when we ( The homeless ) go to Hopes corner , we see what we miss , what we appreciate , what we like to see before us . The Awesomeness of wonderful (Do Good souls) and we wish we were like them and some make it and become like them - The (Do Good souls) of the world . I plan on becoming one of The (Do good souls) someday . The moments we get to spend with Claire with BOB with Mike and the other Angel people, make us feel (NORMAL ) during our short time there and some even drop their guard and say hello and share what we get with each other , yes - Homeless being kind to other homeless inside Hopes Corner and that place and the people that give us way more then they Truly know about , that place that I like , a place of sharing - is a kind place/space - Those do good souls give us showers and food and toothbrushes and under clothes and they give us lunches and they share smiles and they look at us, The Homeless like we are and yes of course we are (Human) and while at hopes corner , I see what they truly give us , a place to relax and enjoy and be near each other and some try to uplift (Homeless 2 Homeless) and I like seeing that as well and we are Truly B L E S S E D in the bay @ Hopes Corner and along the path we find other (Do good souls) and that makes me and them and us , yes we - see bright and not dark in the world . The Do good souls , help stop depression while we are there enjoying watching the (Do good souls) do what they do , always and often and even though I am not of the depressed type , I get to see , the depressed loosen up and laugh at times and that is a remarkable thing to hear and if you are helping Hopes Corner with supplies and donations then (Thank you very much ) from this Homeless guy to you - awesome people , givers of the world - I am blessed, I get to witness something truly amazing, Twice a week :)
I have really enjoyed volunteering at Hope's Corner. Over the last two years, I've become friends with many of our guests, and I really enjoy seeing them every Saturday. It's also bee great working with other volunteers who come from all walks of life and who work together to make Hope's Corner a positive place where people can eat and relax for a couple of hours.
Hope’s Corner serves a free breakfast and bag lunch every Saturday mornings to all comers as well as free showers to unhoused people on Thursday and Saturday mornings on a first-come-first-served basis. We now serve over 200 people every Saturday. Besides food, we provide a place for people to feel welcomed and build community. We collaborate with Second Harvest Food Bank, Community Services Agency, Peninsula Food Runners, Silicon Valley Bicycle Exchange and others to help the people we serve connect with other available services.
