Causes: Women, Women's Centers
Mission: Located in apache junction, coolidge and phoenix, arizona, and serving those communities, hope women's center is a non-profit organization that engages, encourages, and equips vulnerable women and teen girls with education, mentoring, life skills, and material resources that support their physical, emotional and spiritual needs.
Programs: Our education program is designed with three goals in mind: to build relationships, to impart knowledge, and to encourage behavioral changes. Programs are free but are incentivized to clients by providing client "cash" or points for attending classes that can be used in our women's resource room for material resources and utility assistance. Classes are a mix of life skills and faith based topics such as parenting, english as a second language, anger management, grief and loss, health and nutrition, healthy relationships, crafts, parent-child bonding, and job readiness. Our mentoring program provides trained mentors and staff to meet with clients to discuss crisis pregnancy, domestic abuse, unemployment, homelessness, prostitution/rape, family conflict, substance abuse recovery, and other life challenges. All services are free and clients can meet with a mentor or join a support group as often as they like. Our women's resource rooms are stocked with items clients can obtain with their earned client "cash"/points from attending education classes and mentoring services. Items available include diapers, wipes, toiletries, cleaning supplies, food, household items, baby items, women's clothing, and children's clothing. We also offer a cash utility assistance program and free pregnancy testing and support. Other programs include our children's programs and a new program for birth moms whose children are in foster care or at risk of foster care focused on early intervention, creating healthy home environments, and support for moms working on re-unification. New program services: added a children's program to our coolidge center. We started a new program at all three centers for birth moms whose children are in foster care or at risk of foster care focused on early intervention, creating healthy home environments, and support for moms working on re-unification.
