I am the mother and public conservator of my loved one who holds the honor of being the first resident of Chesed Home. Chesed Home opened their doors 8/1/2013 and have created an environment where a person with a serious mental illness can find the pervasive caring and love that each human being deserves. The program director of the home is Shelle Wisdom-lazar, a skilled professional in the field, who not only knows how to bring out the best in each resident for them to reach their potential, but also helps the residents to learn how to live in a "Family System."
Working with this population is not just a learned skill, but also an art of intuition and gift of looking "inside" as well as possessing the ultimate respect for our loved ones where each person is treated with dignity and honor.
I highly recommend this home for anyone ready to have, "A LIFE."
