Volunteering at Hope Starts Here Food Bank has been an incredibly fulfilling experience. The staff and fellow volunteers are passionate and dedicated, ensuring that no one in our community goes hungry. The food bank’s holistic approach includes a prayer team, baby clothes distributions, school supplies distributions, and Christmas toy distributions, offering recipients hope, dignity, and comprehensive support. Every distribution day is a testament to the power of collective effort and compassion, making a tangible difference in the lives of those we serve. Hope Starts Here is more than just a food bank—it's a cornerstone of our community, and I am honored to be part of it.
AFTER MY HUSBANDS DEMENTIA DIAGNOSIS THINGS HAVE BECOME TOUGH .I HSVE NEEDED THEIR HELP ON MANY OCCASIONS.MY DAUGHTER HAS MOVED IN WITH US TO HELP ME WITH MY HUSBAND AND SO SHE HAS TAKEN UP FULL TIME CARE AND SOMETIMES IT GETS TOUGH TO MEET MONTHLY EXPENSES . THEY HAVE TREATED ME WITH KINDNESS AND COMPASSION . I WANT TO THANK THEM FOR ALL THEIR HARD WORK AND DEDICATION TO THE HELP THEY GIVE MANY PEOPLE WHO NEED IT .
I am so thankful for everything that this Food Bank has done fore me! The food and items are always something different each time. I am a 36 year old woman who has been given a terminal degenerative diagnosis. With the cost of everything else, this food bank has eased my worries about food so many times.
This food bank has helped members of my family out. I have volunteered there many times as well. It is such a good feeling to be able to give back to an organization who has lifted so many people up through food, prayer, and other opportunities. Keep it up Hope Starts Here!
I had a great experience. Everyone was friendly. I had a great time and I made me feel so good to give back to my community.
I have never been involved in something so meaningful. Hope Starts Here is there week after week—rain or shine—to provide hundreds of members of the community with critical food and other necessities. With selfless, caring and committed leaders and a corps of volunteers, Hope makes a real difference in the lives of so many.
When I see the hearts of those putting in countless hours just to serve others with joy in their hearts I'm so thankful. Especially when I get to see and hear the gratitude of the recipients expressed and sharing what it's meant to them to have us in the community.
So blessed to be a part of the volunteer team. I'm also thankful that there are services also being provided at no cost.

Not only do they support hundreds of local people every week, they also support my kids elementary school pantry which provides food for multiple families every weekend. They are amazingly kind and just want to help others!❤

I've been volunteering here at Hope Starts Here Food Bank for almost 4 years now. I've seen the amazing work we do and how we give back to our community. Food is so essential and especially during this pandemic outbreak. It's such a blessing the amount of folks we serve each and every week. The need continues to grow yet, we as a non profit continue to step up each and every week for the challenge. No one ever leaves here without either a shopping cart or their trunk completely full of great food. I am honored to be a part of this great non profit.
