Mission: Sharing the love of Christ and reducing hunger through worldwide partnerships, empowering people with sustainable food production skills, seeds, and resources.
Results: Hope Seeds was founded in 1999. Since then, we have helped countless families, children, orphanages, widows, and schools in over 60 countries. In 2021, over 50,000 families received Hope Garden packs of seeds with the Gospel message in 15 countries. Over 800 volunteers gave more than 10,000 hours to make this possible.
Target demographics: those who are hungry and need of hope
Direct beneficiaries per year: over 50,000 families
Geographic areas served: The United States and around the world
Programs: volunteer prepared packages of quality, open-pollinated vegetable garden seeds and the gospel Message of hope (offered in multiple languages) in a Hope Garden Pack containing 10-12 varieties of seeds specifically chosen for the region and nutritional needs. We also provide educational materials, a Bible Garden School program (similar to VBS), consultation, training and evaluation through our newest program, HopeCorps, small Mustard Seed Projects that require relatively small financial input to produce great returns, and intern programs. Locally we also provide seeds and education for children and migrant families, as well as trial gardens for research and testing, and growing out specialty seeds that cannot be easily obtained.
