Mission: Hope made real, inc. Is a charitable organization dedicated to improving the lives of children and adults in the country of rwanda. Started in 2008, hope made real, inc. Supports various projects in rwanda with the aim of assisting the country's orphaned and abandoned children and other poor and vulnerable residents of rwanda.
Programs: Orphanage hope made real supports the urukundo home for children, a non-profit orphanage serving the urukundo village in rwanda, africa. The urukundo home for children houses orphaned and abandoned children. The urukundo home also works in coordination with the rwanda national prison ministry to secure homes for children with incarcerated parents. Hope made real provides funds for the purchase of food and clothing for the children in the orphanage as well as providing certain educational supports, such as the cost of textbooks, pencils, paper and other school fees. Hope made real also provides funds for medical supplies, electricity and water. The urukundo home for children housed 26 children full-time and provided tuition and board for an additional 26 children in secondary school education. Two new preschool classrooms have been completed.
education hope made real provides educational support for the children in the urukundo village and now provides support to other children in the muhanga district of rwanda through the cyeza sector support project. Currently 580 children are attending school through the urukundo education sponsor program a computer lab is constructed. Volunteers are coodinating the program and teaching beginner and advanced english to staff and students at the sewing center. Construction will begin on four additional classrooms in 2018. Children live at the school and visit families during school holidays. The babies now have foster families during school breaks. This allow orphans to experience life in a family.
grass roots enterprise - through livestock and beehives hope made real provides the financial support to provide livestock and beehives to the avega organization, which is the rwandan national association for genocide widows, to provide them with a means of support. Hope made real makes similiar donations of livestock and beehives to hiv and aids patients. More than 65 goats have been purchased for local women with families, a chicken farm with over 200 chickens supplies eggs to the children and supports this work. Moms and new babies are assisted with the basics of child.
other community projects hope made real contributed to numerous local community projects in rwanda. Projects supported included construction of a well, a soccer field, a basketball field, a library and a children's chapel, and is building a school.
