I can’t imagine raising a child or two or three or more without a partner. It takes a team to raise a child and the best thing you can do for your child is to be able to provide them with love as well as good nutrition and warm safe housing. Single moms struggle with juggling work, school, daycare and a million other issues. This organization helps with all of that . Once a mom can finish school she can get a much better, higher paying job and thus her children will thrive. That’s the point, we need to raise educated , happy children who will grow up and have their dreams come to fruition. Single moms should have assistance to be able to better their lives. This organization is a great start in order to help with our whole society.
For all of us who proudly wave the anti-abortion banner, too few of us step up for the young women who listen to us. Many young girls are faced with the question, “now what?”
Well this non profit is the perfect answer. I’ve known Carla since high school and I know she puts her heart and soul into this. I’m blessed to be a part of Hope for Single Moms.
Anyone with kids knows how wonderful but scary it is to start out your pregnancy when we have the support of our patents, grandparents, friends and neighbors. Can you imagine starting out with no support or help from anyone and thinking that ending your baby’s life is the only answer? God bless the young women who can give their baby up for adoption and we should all support that but as Christians we also need to support the young women who choose to keep their baby and that’s where Hope for Single Moms comes in.
Too many girls are forced to drop out of high school and college to raise their children and end up in a system that becomes a trap with no time nor money to finish school and make a better life for themselves and their child. My grandma used to say, “the way the mother goes, so goes the child.” What ever you can spare please donate it to Hope for Single Moms.
My friend Carla is doing Gods work, it’s long hours but she does it with lots of love. It’s time to put our money where our mouth is. Save the babies and help these young girls become proud and productive members in this crazy world. Be the support they don’t have but desperately need.
How fortunate those single moms are who are carefully guided and assisted with Carla and Hope for Single Moms. I've seen the testimonies and met some of her recipients. A worthy nonprofit to support financially and with prayer.
Hope for Single Moms stands as a prime example of how vacuous are the claims of some that those in support of prolife causes only care about the baby until it exits the womb. Arming a young mother with life skills, professional skills and Christ provides the best gift possible to both mother and child. It’s what HFSM does and they do it very well.
My experience with Hope For Single Moms has been hopeful, rewarding, supportive and overall amazing. Carla is an amazing and compassionate woman and community advocate who has been there to listen and help at times of need. Since my first trimester to the very end, I’ve had a positive experience. Even when I needed advice, Carla was there for me. I can only imagine how great of a mom she is when she helps other moms. My single mom journey would not have been the same without Hope For Single Moms and the donors who’ve helped me out with my baby registry when I did not have a baby shower. I highly recommended this organization to other moms in need, and donors to donate to this wonderful organization.
Carla Ludwig has been a dear friend for 25+ years. We've worked together on many occasions during our homeschooling years, classes/trips at church, as well as our down time celebrating our families together. Her passion for life and fullness thereof, was obvious. Her decades of leadership, tirelessly serving the unborn and fighting for their lives, was always her passion. But it wasn't until the death of my husband to cancer which left me to raise my five children alone --- along with the unexpected pregnancy of her youngest daughter during her freshman year in college, that Carla's challenge to serve single moms rose to new levels. How to help them? What was their greatest need? And what was the best way to serve them? Brainstorming turned into Carla's daily regimen -- and I became her confidant, only board member and secretary for my dear friend. As time passed, Carla's research morphed into solutions which finally landed her into the arena where she is now most able to help these young families. Each unique family has its own needs, and therefore is served accordingly. Education and/or job training are always at the forefront. But pairing with these moms also gives her a chance to befriend & mentor them, minister to them, and enable them to move forward with confidence and love as they raise their young ones alone. Carla personally shares her gifts and love with those she whom she serves and what's more..... she treasures every minute of it.
Hope for Single Moms is a well-run nonprofit, focusing solely on assisting single mothers to obtain an education that leads to sustainable employment, which will allow them to adequately provide for their child. There is a strong recognition that that without proper finances, a mother cannot provide the proper nutrition for her child to be able to be healthy both physically and mentally, able to focus on learning, and to thrive as they grow. HSM places emphasis on emotional and spiritual support as well, so that mothers are never alone when difficulties arise during the "parenting while learning" process. I only wish there was such an organization on the east side of the state; they are such a blessing to the population they serve by so enriching their lives!!
Hope for Single Moms has put into place all the steps necessary for single mothers to improve their education, increase their ability to provide for their families, and thus start changing the outlook for their children. The potential participants must complete tasks including questionnaires and quizzes to help them decide which field interests them most so that they take ownership of their path in training.
I have been involved with this organization as both a board member and a Dream Team participant. It is so fulfilling to be able to interact (at your own level) and help these moms build a stronger, more stable economic life.
Join Hope for Single Moms and make a difference for a family.
I love having an organization who is set up and designed to help mom's who choose life. The complaint that I hear from prochoice people is that prolife people are actually only probirth. And here is a wonderful nonprofit that proves it and there are many others. I love that they not only provide financial assistance for moms, but also build a dream team around her who helps with anything from rides to babysitting to bringing meals to cleaning, to prayer and mentorship. Whatever the mom needs, she has her dream team to call upon. It truly is a complete support system for the duration of schooling but, I have seen these teams/mom's become life long friends too.
My husband and I donate and help with Hope for Single Moms for over 5 years. I was a single mom with two children for awhile, so I understand how difficult it is being single and raising children on your own. I had an education, so I was able to get a good job to help with bills. Hope for Single Moms help single moms with getting an education, bills, emotional support and Christian values. My husband and I are grateful to be apart of this nonprofit organization!
I choose to donate here because i love their mission and I know exactly where my money is going
Hope for Single Moms helped me when I was pregnant with my son. With their help I was able to go to school while pregnant and graduate shortly after having my son. I was then able to find a better job to help support my family. I couldn’t have done it without the help of Carla and my dream team at Hope for Single Moms!
