Mission: Through the operation of a thrift shop, the hope chest provides funding to the constance morris house (cmh), a domestic violence shelter and branch of pillars. The thrift shop also uses its profits to purchase clothing and household items for cmh as needed, and pays certain utility bills for cmh. Cmh is an emergency residential shelter for women and children fleeing family violence. The shelter provides a clean, safe and quiet environment that allows a woman to think through her problems and assess possible solutions. The shelter can accommodate 25 women and children at any given time.
