If you are looking for a local non-profit to support, we encourage you to consider The Hope Center of LeRoy! This organization has partnered with the local elementary school (Wolcott Street School) for that past two Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons. Coordinating our outreach programs with The Hope Center has allowed us to reach more families and children than we ever imagined we could when we began! This year alone we were able to help 10 additional families enjoy a Thanksgiving meal and The Hope Center helped brighten 25 families (40 + Children) this Christmas Season! Pastor Henry and his daughter Melinda Stedman are terrific to work with and have proven their dedication and desire to help all community members!
Hello
I go to the group called cup of Joy at the Hope center. This group is amazing! I’ve never met such a loving group of people. The events that take place are so much fun. Game night is so much fun to get together with people in the community and play family friendly games. It’s so nice to get out and do activities with people of my age and visit. The potluck dinners are creative and delicious . It’s a wonderful place to gather with people I now consider my friends, and do things together. The only regret I have about this time together is that there’s not more of it!
You should consider coming to the Hope center on Main Street in LeRoy and join a group that suits you. So many great things to join.

I look forward to meeting you. see you there!!!

I am the Director of Memory & Friends, a FREE social day respite care program, which takes place once a month at the Hope Center of LeRoy. Memory & Friends serves those living with early to mid-stage Alzheimer's or Dementia in a 1:1 setting with fun activities to allow caregivers a much needed break! I absolutely LOVE being a part of this program and seeing the smiles on our guest's faces! Our guests typically engage in activities such as music, crafts, a variety of games; both physical and mind triggering, pet therapy, and of course, BINGO! We always have a lot of fun and our guests can't wait to come back!
Also, I am the Coordinator of JOY (Just Older Youth) Fellowship, a 55+ group, that meets regularly throughout the month. We have 2 ongoing events each month, which is Cup O'Joy (coffee hour) and Game Night. Other events throughout the year include, but not limited to potlucks, ice cream outing, summer concerts in surrounding towns, Christmas Party, local outreaches, Friendsgiving, and much more!
As you can see I have a passion for serving the older population. The Hope Center of LeRoy provides me the ability to do what I LOVE! I am enjoying my time with the Hope Center and I would highly recommend anyone to check it out!

I have been attending the “Sewing Bee”. I always have a good time going to class. I am originally from Ghana, West Africa. I'm learning a lot of stuff and now I can fix my kids clothes. I don't have to worry about going to the Tailor. I was always thinking about taking a sewing class but I couldn't afford to pay for classes then a friend told me about the opportunity to attend the Sewing Bee at the Hope Center. It was good opportunity for me. I enjoy meeting new people. They have taught me a lot of stuff and I really appreciate it.
Thanks, Ty,
The Hope Center in Leroy NY is bringing hope to more then the people they serve. My step-dad attends the Respite program on the 2nd Wednesday of each month. Initially I was going to volunteer, but instead decided to spend the few hours with my mom. We visit, play games, and then go out for lunch. It is such a treasure for me to have this alone time with her and she appreciates not having to do anything but relax. Thank you to all the volunteers and for those that made it possible for the Hope Center to be up and operating. Kim
I worked with the Hope Center of Leroy to conduct a free nutrition and exercise class for the community of LeRoy. The staff at the center were so helpful throughout the whole process from advertising, recruiting and program delivery. The facility was always kept clean and well taken care of. If I run another class in Leroy and I will definitely be coming back to the Hope Center! I highly recommend working with them.
My son was just below his grades reading level when we started with tutoring at the Hope Center this winter. He has already been moved to a different reading group at school because he has improved so much with his reading! He enjoys coming each week and continues to improve. I'm so thankful!

The Hope Center of Leroy is an incredibly visionary charity. Though in infancy, it's impact is already being felt in the community and it's potential is as big as the heart of our citizens are large. Anyone with a sensitivity to help meet human suffering and need, and anyone with a desire to help lift the level of joy, faith, and love in the region, may bring a proposal to the Hope Center with the potential to start a new life-giving program that will benefit others. I've been amazed at the program ideas that people have already brought forth and are launched. My expectations are that this is only the beginning. Pray for the Hope Center, enjoy its programs, and consider supporting it with your support and volunteerism. God bless you. Jack Hempfling
Through the Hope Center of LeRoy, I was able to host the 8th annual Operation Prom Dress Giveaway, along with many wonderful volunteers. This is a yearly event that is offered to the surrounding region of Western New York. During this event the Hope Center offered hundreds of prom dresses for free. The Hope Center displayed the dresses on racks, had dressings rooms available so girls could try on the dresses, offered minor alterations, refreshments, a photo booth and handed out gift bags. 57 girls from 25 different school districts were blessed with a free prom dress. At this event we try to make every girls dream come true by being able to attend their high school prom. The Hope Center believes in showing God's love and letting each girl know how special they are.
L.I.F.T. (Ladies In Faith Together), has been such a blessing to my life. Before I had fully become a member of the church, I received a call from Denise about L.I.F.T., which is a program of the Hope Center of LeRoy.
Let me tell you -- it was God saying to me, here you go -- the support and encouragement you need is right here. Through L.I.F.T. I have experienced a deeper connection with God and have opened myself up to becoming involved in other ministries.
L.I.F.T. is a safe place to share your stories, struggles, frustrations and to learn how God helps us handle these things.
To experience the unconditional love of God and see how this effects not only your life, but others lives too. These women are kind, welcoming, strong examples of faith and wonderful people to fellowship with.

Nancy Wright and I host the Go Pro Spa Day (God's People Serving Others), along with countless others. This is an annual program of the Hope Center, that started in 2017. By definition it is a day spent with 20 lovely ladies receiving a day of love, and pampering.
Personal Preference Salon is located 34 Main St, LeRoy, and was the home for greeting the ladies, washing and styling their hair, and doing pedicures. The Hope Center, located at 42 Main St, LeRoy, was the home for manicures, makeup, a beautiful lunch, gifts and personal prayer. The Hope Center was a God send, a place that we could spread our wings, the extra space - the extra love, so many angels were present that day.
The Hope Center of LeRoy is a true blessing to our community in so many ways.

I lead the LIFT group for Single Moms. I believe this group helps our community by providing an opportunity, once a month, for women to meet, encourage, and support one another with the difficult job of being a single mom. ~Denise, Co-leader of LIFT (Ladies in Faith Together)
The Kings Table reaches out to parents/cargivers of people with special needs. I have had families share with me that they were unaware of programs available to them until they came to our meeting. They left feeling encouraged, and with more knowledge of what is available for their child.
My first introduction to the Hope Center was via The King's Table. This group is for parents of special needs children. Parents gather together for support, whether it be emotional, mental or new information about government programs for our children. Everyone has their own experience. Not only is it fabulous for parents, but most especially, for our children. They get together at the same time and they love it! Being with people "exactly like them" is what draws them together. They are laid back, play games and most importantly, they laugh! They laugh together, talk about things that have happened at school and know that no one is going to bully them. It's the one day/date of the month that my son knows exactly how long until the next gathering.
My second exposure to this wonderful community was the Go Pro spa day. Women throughout the area and surroundings are given invites to attend and be pampered for the day. You get your hair and nails done. Makeup, lunch and goodie bags are all included with no cost to the ladies attending. It is so much fun!
So many wonderful groups for many people throughout the community. It draws people together and gives strength to everyone.
I have been volunteering in the office of the Hope Center of LeRoy for almost a year. Along with doing the office work, I also serve at the staff meetings.
The Hope Center of LeRoy, is a center of "Hope", for the community of LeRoy, with programs that serve the needs of the people. We have a program, for single Moms, people that love to pray, families with disabled children, literacy program, and a Sewing Bee to name a few. There are other programs in the making, and with the help of the community, there will be many more.
To find an organization that wants to help the community, and provide programs for free to meet that need, is a wonderful thing in todays world.
I highly recommend the Hope Center of LeRoy, and would encourage people to check It out.
