Me and my wife were told by James rummage that if we came from FL to Oklahoma that me and my wife would be able to see each other and talk to each other all the time I was in Ada and she was at Purcell. When we got there we couldn't talk for 30 days and then it was only 3 times a week. We came there to save our marriage and fine Jesus. While at Purcell my wife got hurt any ATC and couldn't work anymore and Monica Henry who was the director had my wife lie to the doctors and insurance saying she got hurt at the house pulling a lawn mower string when the mower had a key start. She was later dismissed because of this and we had to leave. When I was at Ada House I did 25,000 dollars worth of contracting work including making our garage into a living room, a floor for Monica Henry at the Purcell House, work at a local church as a favor, and a 40'×24' deck at our house without any compensation. They said it was God's work. This while having a 45 hour a week job that we didn't get any money for 9 months. Which means that we paid for our own program. Having 30 guys working for the house I and my wife's house never went on any outings and when we did they only give the house 1100 dollars for the whole house to go. Which means crappy outings. And 4 times a year they have mandatory hope center outings that the house didn't have to pay for. We were told we would have so much fun that we wouldn't even know we were in treatment. And me and my wife only got to see each other 2-3 times a month. They also get food stamps for the clients which amounts to 292 per person. Then the directors dole the cards out so we can go shopping for food. They steal our money and stock there own houses with steaks and real meat while we eat ramen and tacos almost every day. They are scumbags the directors. They find ways to line there own pockets with our money and and if they save the most they get bonuses at the end of the year. So this is there goal at the expense of the clients. This program is not a non profit like they say. We work for 9 months with no money and tell us we can get incentives every month but if you miss one day I'd work in that month for any reason even a doctor's appointment you lose your incentive. These people and the program are crooks at the highest level. Monica Henry and Missy Dobson are crooks and scumbags and treated my wife like crap while she was there. I wish there was someway I could sue these people. DO NOT listen to any admission people. They lie and cheat and work for bonuses and commissions off every client they get. These people DO NOT care about you or God. They only care about lining there pockets. They are the worst of the bunch. On a lighter note I did love my church and pastor at crosspoint church in Ada and my pastor Chad was the best I've ever heard and showed me who Jesus was and because of him my marriage is ever stronger. Wrapping up, this program is a sham. Please go somewhere else.
I needed help. I trusted their program. I tried really hard to continue to believe in the greater good. I completed this program. They have yet to follow through with a single thing they were obligated to based on the website claims. They made money off of my and 20+ other residents labor while we lived in sub-standard conditions. They base their existence upon preying on those who have no options in life. They held me to standards regarding criminal background, then proceeded to pack the place with those that wanted out of jail or who were physically unable to work due to age or health. We relied on our local church and handouts from good people to survive. As if we weren't funding our stay from our work. It was despicable to see the CEO Josh Hannah come to our church and beg no less than four times. While he actually visited our house none. I wanted to believe they were serving the greater good. However, it appears it was only about the money for the majority. Others, as previously stated, did not have to contribute through the "vocational training". The were just allowed to be a burden on the house. While we as a whole lived as though we were poor. Not in a multi-million dollar program. This was in Pelzer, SC. I saw other facilities that seemed to operate per the website claims. I was failed. There are men currently there that are being failed. I hope Josh Hannah rots..
I was recently discharged due to an allegation. The Ararat house in Virginia is a very toxic and corrupt place. The people in charge are in no way genuine, honest or honorable. The whole thing is probably going to cost me 7 years in prison. The house director is never there but determines if you stay or go based on what 2 other residents in the house say. It is a very risky move to go there instead of facing your time cause the judge will give you more time for not completing. It has around 5% success trate. Navy seals and army ranger training has a higher success rate than hope center! If they truly were men of God and truly cared for clients why would 97% of the people get kicked out?
PROTECTING PEOPLE FROM WHAT IV'E BEEN THROUGH!!!!! I found out about Hope Center Ministries, I Kailua Hawaii, through a Drug and Alcohol Treatment Center, that I was in, and a guy who, promised me the world!! He told me that you could go to the beach every day, Said that they went hiking on the volcanoes on a regular basis, said that they had vocational training in welding, which I wanted to do, so I could go to Ukraine to help them rebuild, for absolutely free, and said you could work on golf courses, if you wanted to. He also told me that they had vehicles that you could use, and said that they would help me get my drivers license back! He said that they would take us Deep Sea Fishing, at least once a year, but probably twice, and the biggest lie was that he said you would receive about $17,000 at the end, to start your life over! DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!!!!! There was a guy there that suffered from Severe Schizophrenia, was Bi Polar, and was Manic Depressive, and he couldn't get his medication! The plate for my 1st meal there was covered in grease, and I didn't eat anything for 3 more days, until I left! I thought I had another Blood Clot in my leg, and they told me to drink plenty of water and tea, and told me to pray about it! They finally took me to the hospital, and the guy that took me there, walked in with me and asked if I was going to be admitted. He then sat outside for almost 30 minutes, for what I would assume to see if I was going to try to use a phone. They didn't even change my bedding, and the towels too reeked of body odor! The bathrooms smelled like urine, and it was absolutely the nastiest place I've been!! When I had finally had enough, I almost had to get physical, to make them give me my phone! I had to threaten to go across the street to a house, to call 911!! When they finally gave me my phone, they turned it back on, to make sure the battery was dead, so when they wouldn't give me a ride, I had to grab my suitcase, and walk about a half mile, where I found help, and then went to the airport. You know that when someone has lived in a house, for 30 years, and they had no idea about a place a half mile from his house, something's wrong!! The Pasture and his wife, are the only 2 that work there, and the rest is run by people with seniority, and this place is as far from a Drug and Alcohol Treatment Center, as you can get, so if you want to pray away your withdrawl, or want to study the Bible, and take quizzes about it, it's all for you!!!
