Mission: The hope and friendship metastatic breast cancer foundation is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) volunteer organization in wilmington, ma enhancing the lives of women and men with a diagnosis of metastatic breast cancer (stage iv), and their families, by offering support groups, resources for learning and networking, therapeutic activities, scholarships and creative retreats. The foundation also supports research focused on metastatic breast cancer treatments. .
Programs: Maintained dedicated meeting space and held support group meetings for up to ten to twelve members with stage iv breast cancer. Meetings are held every other week. Meetings included facilitator, interactive activities, guest presenters, and light meals.
provided scholarships to two support group members to attend metastatic breast cancer conferences and breast cancer retreats. Awarded educational scholarships to six children of current and deceased support group members.

held bereavement events for families and friends of deceased support group members. Approximately 50 people attended the event which included dinner, music, interactive tributes, and memory stone crafts.
