Mission: Making a positive impact on the quality of life for Hoosiers by providing nutritious meat to hunger relief agencies within Indiana.
Results: Since our founding in 2011, we have provided over 9 million pounds of meat to food banks, food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, and other hunger relief agencies throughout the state of Indiana!
Target demographics: Hunger Relief agencies
Direct beneficiaries per year: by providing over 211,000 pounds of meat to hunger relief agencies in Indiana
Geographic areas served: Indiana
Programs: Farmers, Hunters, and 4-H donate livestock and deer to our program through local participating meat processors. Donations are processed, packaged, and given to area hunger relief agencies for distribution back into the community in which it was donated. Hoosiers Feeding the Hungry pays all processing fees on these donations so that there is no cost to donors or the agencies receiving meat. Through focusing on our mission, we connect locally sourced nutritious meat to food banks, food pantries, soup kitchens, and more in the community, helping to provide more nutritionally rich, well-rounded meals to patrons of their agencies.
