Programs: Honor House was founded by Brian Mancini who served two tours in Iraq as a Combat Medic. He was seriously wounded in 2007. He recognized that Veterans dealing with PTS/TBI and other injuries needed more than just traditional medicine. He founded the Honor House, which received its 501C3 in 2012. Brian passed away in 2017 but his legacy lives on providing the help and healing our Veterans need. Honor House started a program called Operation Healing Journey. Operation Healing Journey (OHJ) is a proactive approach in assisting to fill the transitional and medical gaps from the departure of the military into the civilian sector. Operation Healing Journey is focused on utilizing resources from within the community and works in conjunction with traditional medical practices to provide a structured three -month program that will empower the veteran to seek healthy alternatives. OHJ is a community based program that uses a Veterans Transition Specialist to develop customized healing calendars, individualized to meet the Veterans transitional interests and needs. Complementary and Alternative Therapies (CAM) is defined as a category of medicine that includes a variety of treatment approaches that complement and are used alongside of or to replace conventional medicine.
