Honor Flight Central Florida, as part of their regular mission, took 24 Central Florida Senior aged Vets of WWII, Korea and Vietnam to their memorials in Washington DC on April 28th, 2018. They will take over 100 this year alone. The extent to which the group honors our their hometown heroes cannot be overstated. As an all-volunteer group, their fundraising goes directly to providing these absolutely free flights to those who sacrificed so much for all of us. Check them out on their website at www.honorflightcentralflorida.org or on facebook at "Honor Flight Central Florida Hub". Attached is a picture of the group that just went up in April assembled at the WWII Memorial on the National Mall. The central Florida "hub" of the national network knows what Honor, Respect and Gratitude to Veterans everywhere means and runs a program that makes both an immediate and lasting impact on those they honor, their families, and those lucky enough to travel with their Honorees as Honor Flight "Guardians". Their motto was coined by Will Rogers who said "We cant all be heroes, because some if us have to stand up on the curb and clap as they walk by". Well done Honor Flight Central Florida! Please support this awesome group in any way you can. We all have relatives and friends that sacrificed to serve our Nation, and we would all want their sacrifices to be honored as this team does.
