The Equity in Home Education Program (EHEP) from The Canary Academy emerges as a remarkable contribution to Georgia's homeschooling and microschooling community. When the pandemic disrupted our lives, countless families faced the urgent need for devices and Wi-Fi to sustain home education. EHEP stepped in as a crucial triage initiative, empowering parents to remain the educational architects for their families. Through this program, 100 backpacks equipped with devices and essential supplies were distributed to under-resourced families, ensuring continued access to education at home. Canary Academy, to put it simply, is a light at the end of the tunnel. When you’re at your lowest moments in your child’s education, or simply need a helping hand for the future, CAO is there to help you. It’s flexible, it’s creative, and most importantly, it’s free to everyone. I love how they assist the under-served homeschool community free of charge. Not to mention, grant families the materials they need whenever they need it, ALSO free of charge. Even when certain things are unavailable, everyone tries their best to get you what you need regardless. It’s crucial to all families that there’s no worries about their children, even when they don’t realize that. The world becomes a better place when Canary Academy does the good faithful work.
Canary Academy Online is a big-hearted organization and I appreciate their efforts to give homeschooling support. I work with them on the regular and they are full of great ideas, people, and resources.

As an experienced music educator, I had the privilege of teaching music lessons to various students through CAO, and I couldn't be more impressed with the institution, the staff, and most importantly, the students.
CAO has been a god-send for our family. It has given us reassurance and stability in our homeschooling journey. I have also been able to experience how much effort goes into running an organization of this caliber and it has been amazing to see the innerworkings of CAO. The service that our family has received in outstanding. Their passion for wanting to help families continue their homeschool journey is woven into everything they offer. This is an organization that many can glean from.
This is our second year with CAO. This organization devotes so much time and energy in order to ensure that families have a wealth of knowledge and resources to help homeschool their children. Parents always have input on classes, clubs, etc. It has been a blessing being apart of this community. Parents receive lots of available resources and information to help them navigate through and plan the school year. Online classes and clubs for students allow endless opportunities that some may not have exposure to. This also allows social interaction and more exposure to technology. Five stars just isn't enough for this amazing organization.
CAO has been a wonderful support and compliment to my homeschooling journey. From the resources, youth classes, to parent focus and support groups, job and teaching opportunities, CAO is a rich, blossoming homeschool organization that is run by passionate and dedicated individuals.
We’ve been with Canary Academy Online for a few years and we absolutely love it. We get so much support and community that we wouldn’t otherwise be getting. Some of the teachers are Katherine’s favorite teachers even though we’ve never met in person. They provide a life changing service that really helps so many low income homeschoolers.

I have done a few volunteer classes for CAO and each one has been so rewarding for me! I did a gardening class once and now everyone is asking for another one! Rest assured, I will be doing the class again!
The environment is so fun and friendly, kids of all ages attend classes, and the teacher and the kids walk away with a permanent impression of what CAO offers.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my experience with being an intern and volunteer for CAO. It has given me a lot of hands-on experience in creating a business. It has even helped me figure out my career path for the future. I have not only gained useful experience for my future but also gained interest in a career that I plan to pursue. We are new homeschooler and to find canary academy right at the beginning of out journey has been such a blessing. The access to resources that are culturally relevant supports the type of education we want our children to receive. Being a part of the Canary Academy has been such a beautiful experience. I was looking for a summer volunteering program where I could build my communication and management skills. Canary Academy was a great nonprofit where I could get hands-on support and learn about so many new ideas through overseeing online programs, writing budgets, and designing company development campaigns. It was an overall great experience and I learned a lot from CAO.
We love EHEP and are excited to be partnering with them this year. All communications have timely and professional. Delivery of products, services and training have been seamless. Very supportive and attentive to our needs. We have several families now a part and hope to grow more next year.
We are truly blessed to come across Canary Academy and thankful that we were awarded to become EHEP recipients. My son needs the live experience and he is doing well with his classes and trying to independently keep his schedule and learn. We also use Flocabulary A LOT which he really enjoys and it has a wealth of material. It has also helped me, his mother, to keep track of what he has been learning. He is 11 years old and this week he went through the Budgeting class and he created his first budget tonight. He made a shopping list, researched the prices and calculated the total. I told him it was over the money I had lined up for groceries so he started cutting out items. Now that we have our budget and our grocery list, tomorrow we will go shopping! There are a lot of resources we are yet to explore but we are going slow but steady! Thank you so much for your support, promptness and your always being there when we have questions. Thank you!

Thank you for this review! We are so glad the resources we've been provided access to in our learning center, including access to Flocabulary and others, have been beneficial to you. We hope to continue offering more benefits to EHEP recipients every year to make homeschooling more and more affordable.
I have worked with CAO since its early stages and I am very pleased with the services they provide. I now serve as a volunteer as the VP of Programs, and help facilitate the fundraisers, programs, and student services CAO offers. From the beginning, CAO has served as a blessing to my family and numerous others, and I know it will continue to do so. I am glad I am a part of the mission.

My experience with CAO has been a blessing. I’ve had the opportunity to work with them in preparing the school curriculum for my children. CAO has gone above and beyond by researching and locating the educational tools I needed that would enable my children to have an engaging, fun-filled, interactive school year. CAO was truly a big help to me and my family.
I’ve been working with Canary Academy for about five months now, and it feels like a real job. A job I enjoy to the fullest extent. You get to choose your work hours and work at a pace that, well, works for you! Nasiyah is very understanding, and if you need advice or help, you can contact her at any time. It’s an amazing experience doing what I love, (graphic design) knowing that everything I make is helping not just the CAO community, but families who are looking for affordable homeschooling assistance. I want to thank The Canary Academy Team for their excellent work, directed by their founder. I worked very closely with Nasiyah, for several weeks, to create an online summer tutoring program for our nonprofit and I was blown away by the end results. Not only did she help me develop a very comprehensive curriculum, but I was also able to create a skeleton of my entire program (from in-take to recruitment of tutors) as a result of the guidance and many resources, I received. I fell in love with the "The Canary Way" of instructing and supporting students virtually; which is not an easy task. I highly recommend Canary Academy Online Inc., for your educational consulting needs and beyond. You won't be disappointed!
CAO has been an extreme blessing to my family. My daughter received a laptop and funds that helped purchase school supplies for her and her4 yr old brother for this school year. Being new to homeschooling and going thru some trying times with Covid-19 we can say that we are forever grateful for all of the help and resources that CAO has made possible so that our children can successfully succeed in homeschooling.
I got 2 fire tablets, One of the tablets helping my son do his online schooling with time4learning, plus extra exercise activities apps. The other tablet is for my daughter helping her with some extra exercise activities as well.
Also I received a gift card I didn't use it yet but I'm planning to get art supplies for them soon.

My experience with this nonprofit organization has been very informative and beneficial for my special needs son Noah who is 12. He needed a tablet for his educational needs and he also received a micro grant which allowed me to further purchase homeschool resources that I couldn’t have done without the help of Canary Academy Online! We are able to as well purchase more printing ink for our homeschool worksheets after being gifted a staples gift card. I am very thankful for this organization. They are very helpful and have been a upmost blessing to my family.
