Of florida, (dba "servicesource florida regional office"), a 501(c) (3) not-for-profit corporation based in clearwater, fl. Homes for independence was started in 1995 with a mission to provide affordable, accessible and safe housing for persons with low incomes and/or disabilities. Program offerings include affordable rentals in pinellas, and brevard counties in florida, and cumberland county in north carolina as well as housing counseling for individuals with disabilities and their families. Inclusion is the cornerstone of hfi's housing programs. As a result, all of the condominium units in operation are integrated into established condominium communities with easy access to shopping and transportation. In fy 2015, homes for independence served more than 300 families in fy 2015 by providing affordable, accessible and safe housing options as well as housing counseling. Veterans housingduval park - housing community for veterans in fy 2015, servicesource, in partnership with blue sky communities, llc; boley centers and pinellas affordable living, broke ground on duval park - an 88 -unit permanent supported housing community for veteran with disabilities and their families located in st. Petersburg, fl. This innovative new property gives low income veterans and their families a place to call home, in addition to providing a range of other support services. Abilhousethe abil (acquired brain injury life) house program in st. Petersburg, fl opened in fy 2015, serving 19 individuals living with traumatic brain injury (tbi) in an integrated community setting that maximizes self-sufficiency and successful reintegration into community life.
